Obama said it. One of the most toxic notions in politics. Basically saying, "Suck it!" to anyone who disagreed with his agenda.don't know if I said that, and frankly, never really denied they do in this case.
Yes, because less overarching government, peace, and a better economy is SO fascist.
You are a Useful Idiot. But outside of parroting your leftist programming, you're not at all useful.

Now Trump is playing the same game. Neither party gives a single fuck about consensus, or real leadership. All they care about is scoring points in the "culture war".
I guess.
not that the Libertarians have any answers, other than, "Let's get enough votes so we can get that sweet federal subsidy."
So for all those claiming Trump has a mandate... let's look at that.
Trump got 49.9% of the vote in an election where 37% of the electorate didn't vote at all.
Now, let's look at some other presidents who had supposed "Mandates" for their second terms. We'll only limit ourselves to guys who got second terms. This is an expansion on my point about how no presidents really have good second terms. I will include presidents who won re-election after getting the job because the last guy died.
Obama- won 51.1% of the vote. Not considered a mandate by Republicans, who won the Senate in the Next midterm
Dubya Bush - Won 50.7% of the vote. Lost both houses of Congress in the next midterm.
Clinton - Won 49.2% of the vote in a three way race. Got impeached in his second term.
Reagan - Won 58.8% of the vote and 49 States- Still lost the senate in his midterm, and was mired in the Iran Contra Scandal.
Nixon - Won a whopping 60.7% of the vote and 49%. Was forced to resign BEFORE the next midterm due to Watergate.
Johnson* - Won 61.1% of the vote and 44 states. Vietnam and the various riots, he couldn't even show his face in 1968
Eisenhower - Ike- Won 57.4% of the vote. His second term wasn't bad, just kind of unremarkable. Democrats took 15 senate seats and 39 House seats in the midterm.
Truman* - Won 49.6% of the vote in a four way race. Second term he lost both houses of Congress and got us mired in a war in Korea.
FDR - Won 60.8% - he still lost ground to the GOP in the midterm and the economic recovery sputters.
Coolidge* - Won 54% Didn't do jack diddly. After he left, the roof fell in.
Wilson- Won 49.2% of the vote. Got us into WWI after promising to keep us out. Republicans took the House and Senate in 1918.
* Got to put an asterisk on this one, because he was filling out someone else
So here's the thing. All these guys claimed to have a mandate, but it didn't turn out that way for most of them.
Mandate is a lousy word. It's confrontational.... Authoritarian and immediately creates divisiveness. So for all those claiming Trump has a mandate... let's look at that.

In your dreams, chones.“Trump’s margin of victory, historically speaking, is very small. Although he may have won handily in the Electoral College by 312 to 226, he is estimated to win the popular vote by around 1.6 percent. That puts him in 16th place among post-Second World War presidential victories, just behind Jimmy Carter, but ahead of his 2016 performance when he lost the popular vote but still won the keys to the White House.”

Despite what he says, Trump actually has a very small mandate
Trump doesn’t have the mandate he thinks he does, presidential historians tell Richard Hall — and Democrats should stop acting like he doeswww.independent.co.uk
There is no Trump ‘mandate.’
R=31 D=19 Trump won 62% of the States and the PV, for all the good that does. Kneepads didn't improve over xiden in even 1 of the 3,244 counties in the US. Yeah, I'd call that a mandate.

If you're trying to sell something to a split audience it's a terrible position to take.
Winning..........you lost.So for all those claiming Trump has a mandate... let's look at that.

Still waiting for that link to your delusional buyers remorse, Simp.Naw, Buyer's Remorse is already setting in.
The fact that Trump is so scared of his own party that he has to appoint toadies instead of people who are competent says it all.
The man knows that the GOP can't wait for his approval numbers to hit low enough to invoke the 25th Amendment.
You voted for Him then?Naw, Buyer's Remorse is already setting in.

We'll just see, won't we? And have you been given excuses yet why your life isn't better when it is, by every metric?Trump isn't going to bring us any of those things. He certainly didn't last time.
Stop drinking the bleach.
Comrade Iosef likes authoritarianism, though -- as long as his party is in charge.Mandate is a lousy word. It's confrontational.... Authoritarian and immediately creates divisiveness.

Other way around, proof the deep state exists and doesn't want to change,
