The Texas Senate is solid red, this one seat isn’t going to make a difference in anything.

Because this district is red which went for Trump by 17. The Democrat won by 14. That is a 32 point swing. Also state Senate districts are larger than many House Districts in Texas.

The Democrat candidate Taylor Rehmet beat Trump's candidate Leigh Wambsganss by winning 57% of the vote in a district Trump won by 17 points in 2024. Of course, this is Texas.
