saved from what? saved for how long?If one confesses their sins and asks for forgiveness one is saved.
What rule are you thinking he changed?None of that changes the absolute insanity of God sacrificing Himself to Himself to change a rule that He Himself made.
You really don't know what Jesus' sacrifice was about? What rule are you thinking he changed?
I do know what it is about. Jesus laid down his life so that all might know repentance for the forgiveness of sins. Our sins are forgiven. God gave his life that we might be assured of this. Some denominations seem to believe that we needed punished, so God punished Jesus. Not what I learned. You really don't know what Jesus' sacrifice was about?
ACTUALLY THERES DOZENS- THE IRONY OF A RC SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT ONE VERSE LOL! SOMETHING ABOUT A ROCK AND PETER LOL!saved from what? saved for how long?
You know, there are other scripture psgs in the Bible. I've read the entire thing so I know...
it's really dangerous to hang your whole eternal destiny on 2 or 3 psgs or even 20 while ignoring the rest of them
(a) Romans 8:30 declares, "And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified." This verse tells us that from the moment God chooses us, it is as if we are glorified in His presence in heaven. There is nothing that can prevent a believer from one day being glorified because God has already purposed it in heaven. Once a person is justified, his salvation is guaranteed—he is as secure as if he is already glorified in heaven.saved from what? saved for how long?

Really? What's so insane about God putting himself on trial? You (and others and by others I mean most everyone) do it daily. I think it shows God's incredible sense of humor. He beat us to the punch.None of that changes the absolute insanity of God sacrificing Himself to Himself to change a rule that He Himself made.
Define heaven. For that matter define God. Because I suspect it's your perception of God and your perception of heaven that is keeping you from being objective on this subject. There is no Heaven
Can you worship Christ in vain? The Bible says yes.Yeh, at another thread here, a poster claims Dahmer went straight to Heaven.. didn't pass Go, didn't collect any purification whatsoever in .. I dunno.. Purgatory.. but Catholics who center their lives on Christ, hear His Word every day (some Catholics go to daily Mass), don't fornicate, and don't murder anyone-- even when it is legal to do so (abortion)...
yep... hell-bound fools!
Does that make sense to anyone here?

In the Bible it says in so many words (albeit CLEAR words) that people will end up in Hell for not seeking the truth--Thessolonians 2:2 for one...For US Christians this makes perfect sense …….
Technically, that is true more or less... But Jesus gave us a Church and it is the Church that gives us the Real Presence...If you Have Real Presence then you don't need the Bible or the Church.
I don't believe in changing the subject. . smacks of cowardice and other nefarious thingsCan you worship Christ in vain? The Bible says yes.
The Catholic Church-- the real one, not that sick entity in the Vatican-- always, always taught that there is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church,What if before his last breath he asked for forgiveness and acknowledged his sin?
I've never read in the Bible that "you don't know" where someone goes after death.I have a childhood friend who got on drugs and committed suicide. Some would say he's doomed to Hell. But the Bible says you don't know. I offered an indulgence for his soul. If he is in Hell and unable to benefit it will go to someone else.
how is it known it was suicide and not a drug overdose?I have a childhood friend who got on drugs and committed suicide. Some would say he's doomed to Hell. But the Bible says you don't know. I offered an indulgence for his soul. If he is in Hell and unable to benefit it will go to someone else.
