Its perfectly consistent with actual conservative values. Conservatives delight in corruption.....because conservatism as a movement is about enforced inequality.

They don't want a level playing field. In order for something to be 'fair', it has to be skewed in their favor to a ludicrous, comic degree. Conservative don't want a fair system. They don't want justice. They don't want laws.

They want a system that is ordered to favor them uniquely and overwhelmingly, in defiance of the law.

Witness tampering has to do with testimony that was possibly false. It was addressed in the appeals case but the testimony was deemed immaterial to the prosecution, so he lost that point too.
