Does CNN realize we are a Christian nation?

declaration of independence is one of our founding documents. did you fail 3rd grade?
Your appear to be confused.

The Declaration of Independence (that asserts that all men are equal and have the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness) is not the law of the land - The United States Constitution - nor does either mention Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, or any other religion. The Declaration expresses a deistic philosophy.

The Founding Fathers found theocracies repugnant, and were scrupulous in separating Church and State to prevent polluting either.

Not at all…my point to Mac1958 was that he could picture a Christian society. The Catholic school system did it everyday. And most attending will tell us that they are better off for it.
As far as being taught the subjects that were considered important, I agree 100%. I came to California at the tail end of 9th grade to public schools. Before that, the nuns taught me. The public school was teaching things I had learned in the 3rd and 4th grades, and I tuned out. It was crazy that kids had not already learned these basic things. The reason was liberalism. Kids could get away with being disruptive and unruly, and there were little consequences for not learning. It has gotten worse since then because liberals coddle the black people and treat them like they are dumb, and of course,e if you try to punish or reprimand kids, you cannot.

I went to a Catholic school. They taught all 7 solid subjects and were stern, and you had to learn. At that time, nuns were the teachers. There are not enough nuns today, so now lay people teach. I'm sure they still have catechism class, but even that may be optional in today's more secular societies.

But let me ask. As long as they provide a solid education, what is the problem?

For the record, Catholicism is a cult, as are all religions, so please don't try to slam me as some religious nut job.
Cults are coerced, and leaving is prohibited. Catholicism is nothing like that.

It most definitely is. Belief is coerced and expected. The hammer is that if you don't believe what they tell you, you will suffer for all eternity in hell. I was raised in the Catholic religion. Don't try to educate me or bamboozle me as to their cult.

I was raised Catholic too. It's all free will. You can come and go as you please. But as with everything, there are consequences for not doing the right thing. Arguing that is as senseless as arguing against the consequences of jumping off an 11-story building.

Not only is it not the foundation for our Constitutional Republic, but nowhere does it mention The Christ as a reason for separation from the rule of the King of England. The "Creator" is a generic term that most all religions can claim as their God.

I like arguing this sleight of hand premise in order to educate believers. You make a statement that is stated as fact when there is not one iota of evidence of what you say, unless you revert to claiming (another opinion) that the words in the bible were god written, another preposterous notion that Catholics browbeat young believers into without any evidence whatsoever.

It is only in that bible do you find that (according to you) my not believing is akin to jumping off an 11-story building. This is the club, the coercion, the fear, and the scare tactic. IF that were true, who in their right mind would NOT believe?? It would be senseless. Thus, this means that you believe this to avoid eternal torture and accepted the coercion of your Catholic cult family and church.

Where do you get that there are consequences AFTER we die? This is crazy thinking and a control technique (coercion) by those who have a vested interest in you believing, because they want the donations that believers give them.

Oftentimes we face consequences for our bad morals and deeds here on earth through failed relationships, loss of job, money, happiness, friends, and even jail. Catholics think they have the ultimate way to make people behave and believe....by inventing a hell to even the score for those that got away with things here on earth.

Superman is a more believable cartoon.

There you go with the donations lie again. Again, never personally asked in all my life for a donation. Member of numerous Catholic Churches over the years. Have you really ever been to a Catholic Church?

So I'll ask again, since you have definitively figured the most perplexing and sought-after answer in the cosmos, something none of the other eight billion people currently on earth haven't, that there is definitively no afterlife, please tell us what other magnificent discoveries you and you alone have figured out. There have to be some pretty impressive ones since you tackled #1, right?

But your view is illogical. I believe there is equilibrium in all the universe. Every action has a consequence. And since circumstances in life are uneven based on circumstances, equilibrium has to be restored elsewhere, aka, the afterlife. The laws of physics demand equilibrium, so why would any other area of existence be different? There is universal justice down to the iota. A guy born into great wealth splurges on extravagances, is sexually promiscuous, is cruel to the downtrodden, dies a painless death in his youth, and hasn't had time to suffer earthly negative consequences. Where is the justice?

May I see your evidence of afterlife?

You have heard that the burden of those claiming that there is an afterlife is on those making the claim?

I believe my question was first. What are your other great discoveries or inventions since you have tackled the #1 most perplexing question facing mankind?

This is nonsense. I have no burden to disprove your wild claims.

I didn't ask you to disprove anything. I asked for your other intellectual accomplishments. That should be easy, right? Surely you have some.

But I will give you an out and allow you to save face. All you have to do is say "I don't know if there is an afterlife or not." If you say that, we're fine. If you don't, then the burden is on you to prove your claim.

I don’t know if there is a Bigfoot. Happy now?

Does CNN realize they are down to 610K or so prime time viewers? Fox averages 3.8 million prime time viewers.
