BTW, "solutions" are programs that actually work, solve problems, and make the country better. Leftists don't have any of those, either - something people have come to realize in the past six years of miserable failures from the Democrats.

They're starting to look past the hate and bile spewed by the left, and see that actual conservative programs are solutions in the original sense - programs that work and make things better. Scott Walker has put a good set of them in place in Wisconsin, to the horror of the left there. Maybe people will be encouraged enough to give him a try as President.

Income inequality, larger minority populations, growing large urban areas, greater acceptance of gay marriage, and a declining christian right-wing population all work against conservatives.

If they are to survive they have their work cut out for them.

If the threats of climate change start to become more real that would also certainly work against them as well.

That depends on who is observing. I've noted that there are people who think that wisdom means something completely different than other people.

It is like the vast majority of USMB progressives who continually ask what plans do the GOP have for (Insert X issue here)...What they are really asking is what GOP plan (THAT I AGREE WITH) does the GOP have....not even realizing that what they agree with is wrong to many people.

Perhaps, but what IS wrong is both parties placing roadblocks and outright denial of non party candidates for office. The government is allegedly of, for, and by the people. The founders envisioned a government where the ordinary citizen could run for office.

As it stands today, the ordinary citizen can run for office ONLY if they get permission from one of the two political parties and that is just plain wrong.

Actually the electoral college was created to handle more than two parties. However the two parties have made sure that it would be difficult for a third party to ever challenge them. Especially after the 90's
