Exactly. Understanding this is key to understanding Genesis. It places Genesis in the proper context. Without this context one cannot properly interpret the OT. It's not so much that these texts hide this as it is that people are ignorant of it.

Would you expect him to unless he were Muslim or Indian? Because I wouldn't. Do you believe this is some important point? Because I don't. There's only one God - or Creator if you prefer - and I don't think he cares which religious banner anyone prays to him under. We are all his creatures. Seek him and you will find him.

But I do believe that Jesus is everyone's bridge. And according to Jesus no one will be condemned because they don't believe in him (John 5:24). The ones that do will not be judged. The ones that don't will be judged. But being judged does not necessarily mean being condemned. It is only the ones that actively oppose Jesus through deception that will be condemned according to Paul (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12).
