God hears billions of people's prayers and knows their every thought.

It may be the oldest joke in the book and impossible to ignore that God spelled backwards is "dog."

God and the angels have to be keenly accustom to those thoughts that God, although not really a dog, might have the habits of a dog. From the beginning of His existence, He also could not ignore his name backwards spells "Dog." Do you attribute this coincidence to His attributes? In plainer, cruder words, does He act like a dog?

terrific op------there must be a really nice messageboard
that would give it the APPRECIATION it deserves

That is a question that would keep an agnostic, insomniac, dyslexic awake all night, wondering if there really is a dog.

It's okay. It's only God in English. It's from the Germanic "Gott"
In Spanish it's Dios, etc.
He doesn't have to take it personally.

I'd much rather a God be a dog. I like dogs. The deity the monotheists created, is a monster of a prick.

When God had made the earth and sky,
The flowers and the trees.
He then made all the animals,
The fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He'd finished,
Not one was quite the same.
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine,
And give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide
And everywhere He went,
A little creature followed Him
Until its strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
And in the sky and sea,
The little creature said, "Dear Lord,
There's not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I've left you to the end.
I've turned my own name back to front
And called you dog, my friend."
