Nope. Neither do i. Been retired over 25 years. My wife DID work, for 35 years. It took a combined 200 thousand dollars per year 25 years ago to create a decent life. Today its more than that.

Yhere is about a 50 percent chance a marrisge ends in divorce. If divorce becomes more difficult expect the marriage rate to decrease bigly. Rightfully so. The old way no longer is viable.

I have to apologize since my answer to someone else got mixed up with my answer to you. Only the second part about living comfortably making well under $200,000 was actually inreply to what you said.

It was really just how you said that he should have been able to make $200,000 all by himself. My wife and I make very close to the same amount of money and I am perfectly happy sharing that responsibility with her. Her quality of life would be different without me and my quality of life would be different without her. Only an insecure man would worry about it in my opinion.
