Based on recent history of homosexual priest pedophiles in the Catholic Church I understand why all priests are viewed with suspicion

The Church should select and monitor priests more carefully

Or they should just let married men become priests.

The real problem was the holy orders were seen as a way to "Pray away the gay", which is why you had so many psycho lesbians in habit and so many gay priests.

The problem with the latter is their sexual development stopped in their late teens. As opposed to the rest of us (straight, gay, and other) who get to a good place through trial and error. So you have an 18-year-old sexual mentality with other teens who may or may not be so inclined.

Thankfully, now that it's kind of hip to be gay, no one is joining the Holy Orders anymore, and we are better off for it.

Keep people with the most obvious signs of mental illness away from children

And men wearing dresses and lipstick are obvious candidates
