For whatever reason, most of that article that was supposedly about Tulsi Gabbard's foreign policy ideas, spent half of its space complaining about Obama's foreign policy.

Here is what it finally got around to saying about Gabbard:

Even if one grants the ‘very limited precision strikes’ justification, her own supporters, when used by anyone other than Gabbard, view that as unacceptable.

Limited drone strikes are the way to go in the "war on terror." Fighting endless ground wars to overthrow regimes that we claim support terrorists does no good whatsoever. If we haven't learned that in the last twenty one years, our children and grandchildren are doomed to re-learn it. The tactics of Islamic terrorists (and most other terrorists) consists primarily of seemingly random bombings by small cells of suicidal fanatics. That kind of attack is almost impossible to prevent. But, with good intelligence on the ground* and a willingness to act, the planners of those attacks can be targeted and eliminated.

Killing the people who plan suicide attacks on American civilians and soldiers is absolutely "our business." Doing it without putting American boots on the ground to provide target practice to the terrorists is the best way to conduct our business.

*Hint: The best way to get good intelligence on the ground is by selecting our military and intelligence leaders for competence, not by choosing according to political donations, nor using a demographic checklist, or an inclusiveness matrix.
