Dinesh D'Souza indicted for violating U.S. election law

The FBI has no credibility any more. Not with Holder, and ultimately Obama in charge. They cannot even find a crime in something that Nixon was impeached for.

Don't expect anything resembling justice from the Department of Justice.

So you are accusing Micheal Moore of breaking voting laws? Which ones, and on what basis? In the meantime, if the fellow in the OP is guilty as charged, then he deserves the time for the crime.

Hey, you don't see any liberal movie producers being scrutinized like this, do you?

Case in point. Your red herring is ignored.

I think you've got that wrong.

D'Souza isn't being "scrutinized" for being a "movie producer" - that is a red herring.

He's been indicted for breaking campaign finance laws - a crime which he has already esentially admitted guilt for.

Yeah, and you're putting words in my mouth, Doc.

There's a pattern here you're ignoring. First, the man who created that YouTube video that Obama claims incited the Benghazi attack was arrested for supposedly "violating his parole." Interestingly nothing else came of it after the election. Hey, the video did disparage Muslims, still he must be publicly humiliated.

Dinesh D'Souza makes a movie, goes a whole year and two months without so much as a whimper from the Democrats. Heck the video had no noticeable impact on the election. But somehow, he all of a sudden violates campaign finance law. Isn't that a bit strange to you that two men who express views that this administration disagrees with suddenly are scrutinized for them?

Millions of people say bad things about the president. Of those millions, a couple happen to have committed a crime.

Wow, such spin. So what of those Tea Party groups? Did they commit grievous crimes to get investigated by the IRS like that? Hey, Ben Carson gets audited for embarrassing the president during that prayer breakfast. What was his crime?

So, where is this proof that either of these men committed a crime?

I'm not putting words in your mouth, you're stating them yourself. You keep making the assertion that D'Souza and Nakoula were "scrutinized for their views", which isn't the slightest bit true. Nakoula was a convicted con man who was arrested for violating the terms of his parole by using false identities, and D'Souza was arraigned for violating campaign finance laws.

The two arrests have nothing to do with each other, other than the completely superficial fact that they both involved "movies".

I disagree with the IRS targeting Tea Party members, but there is nothing linking Obama to that incident. With Ben Carson, there is no proof he was targeted for his views. People get audited for stupid shit all the time. As TheDoctor said, really wanting it to be true doesn't make it true.

Since when was Ben Carson audited? I have read that nowhere.

The reason why so much of the Tea Party has been audited is because most all Tea Party chapters applied for tax-exempt status, claiming they are not political. This is, of course, a lie. The very reason for the existence of the so-called Tea Party is political to the core.

Many Tea Party chapters ended up bringing in money for the Romney campaign, they advertised for him on their websites and at their events. That makes them quite political and in that moment, they should have lost their tax exempt status.

The IRS also investigated a number of left wing groups for the same as well.

In other words, by and large, the IRS was doing it's job.

Oh, and a number of the lower employees deeply involved in this? Republicans. Registered Republicans.

He made a claim. It has not been confirmed.

Oh yeah, he made the whole thing up, right? Claims he was audited by the IRS and Obama just let it slide. Deny much?

He made a claim, and did not back it up with any paper evidence.

He could just as easily have brought the audit forms with him on to the show. If the IRS audited him, this means they left a paper trail that he can easily produce. It's that simple.
