Did you know only 219 Americans died in Desert Storm?

While an estimated 20,000 - 35,000 Iraqi soldiers were killed. And an estimated 100,000 - 200,000 Iraqi civilians died also.

My question is though, is this thee most lopsided, one-sided massacre/ass-whoopin’ one country has ever done to another in a war?

I guess the Iraq military killed 1,000 Kuwaiti civilians as well, but still.. Iraq got owned badly.

Well I guess Iraq was actually fighting 39 different countries in Desert Storm. I didn’t know that.

But still, only an estimated 250 people died on USA/allies side.

Meaning no disrespect to those who died, Desert Storm was the most un-war like war that we've ever been a part of. It was more like an Olympic event than a war. It started on January 17 and was over by the end of February.

Bush did a masterful job at forming the coalition to oppose Saddam Hussein. Had it not been for that whole "Read my lips" thing, he probably could've been re-elected...

Nothing to be proud of. All wars are banker’s wars and war is ALWAYS the health of the state.

I didn't remember it being even that many US troops dying. Really impressive planning, coordination and execution, textbook stuff. I worked directly for/with some of those plans writers, on individual assignment after that time. Really impressive people, kind of like graduate level training experience. The fact, I was specifically invited back, through channels, my immediate rater chose to note on my OER.

I recall that in the 90s the reports were that only two Americans died and one of them I believe was friendly fire. I suppose data and transparency may have changed since then, but that number of American casualties seems awfully high from my recollection.

Saddam was a tyrant, this much is fairly well agreed upon. GWB Sr. wasn't perfect, but he was a comparable and respected global leader.

A globalist leader.

He subjected us to the influences of the collectivist elite and failed to complete the job, which kept us in the region far longer than we had any business doing.

The more I learn about GHWB, the less I like. His family has become an aristocracy and their influence behind the scenes in domestic politics has been detrimental to individual liberty.

Not that I believe he was some sort of traitor to the country. He certainly was "patriotic" as he enriched and empowered his family, while the Clinton/obozo/Xiden regimes are anything but patriotic. We would still be far better off if the Reagan regime had not been infiltrated by so many globalist establishment swamp creatures.

.

The US did not fight a war with Desert Storm.
Saddam asked the US ambassador if they could punish Kuwait for stealing oil, bankrupting Iraq, etc.
The US ambassador Glasspie said we did not care.
So Saddam occupied Kuwait.
Then we said he had to leave.
He left.
But then we massacred the Iraqis retreating under a negotiated white flag.
The "Highway of Death" was mass murder and a total war crime.
It was a "war" by any stretch of the imagination.
