WTF John Cornyn?? Why would you push a bill like this?? Learn about more about our nation's history?? We already know enough about the history darkies in this country.....why do we need to be reminded of this crap??

Senator Johnson was right; there is no reason to have anymore federal holidays; especially some so-called "independence day for darkies" -- we already have 4th of July -- that is the only independence day that deserves to be honored and celebrated..Very much like when Conservatives rightfully opposed making MLK's birthday a federal holiday...these days should not be nationally honored or in the very least not be paid holidays for government workers...and furthermore, remembering a day like this does nothing but make whites feel guilty for being white.

When will the rest of America get caught up with Texas? We have been celebrating Juneteenth for over 100 years.

Juneteenth is only applicable Texas. Texas received the message that the civil war was over. Everyone else already knew.

Juneteenth should be a holiday for everyone except DemoKKKrats, since they were the ones who kept human beings as property, and had to be beaten in a war by Republicans to make them stop.
