The Gregorian calendar was not in use until 1582---I believe that is long after biblical days. Do you know what calendar they were using then? Maybe the lunisolar calendar that is in use in China?
A one that was clearly 10+ times shorter.
Who knows? The writers of the Bible did not have advantage of modern day calendars or knowledge establishing the official length of a day, week, month, year. The Gregorian Calendar used all or in part by most of the modern world was not adopted until the 16th Century A.D. when we had much better science about how the world works.
Not that it really matters in the grand scheme of things, but I think the writers of the Bible likely stretched out a lot of those historical lives to make them fit the genealogies.
But as in all matters of the Bible that don't matter to us now, I allow people to believe what they believe about all that. Those that take it all very literally and those who take it more metaphorically and/or symbolically are both all good in my opinion.

It was the turning of the seasons. Approximately the same time frame but less regimented.
Not one year every 10 ish days as would be required to make your claim make any sense.

However they still tracked seasons and years and watched the equinoxes.

Months of the year were mentioned as early as Exodus 2 and we know from the following verse that there were 12 months in the year.
Esther 3:7
