All told, the events of the past week have dragged the FBI, a highly regarded institution whose leaders have in recent years worked to build a reputation for impartiality, into the thicket of the polarized presidential race.

“Americans now look at the FBI and see a political entity, not a nonpartisan entity — and that has huge ramifications for the FBI and for all of us,” said Matt Miller, former chief spokesman for the Justice Department and a Clinton supporter. “It sows disbelief in our system of government and is hugely toxic.”

On Tuesday, FBI investigators were continuing to examine the newly discovered emails and trying to discern how they ended up on a computer owned by Weiner. As of Tuesday morning, an official said, investigators had found no sign that the computer contained “new and bigger” evidence about Clinton. But the official said the FBI was deploying “all computers, all hands on deck” to sort through the high volume of emails and that “no one knows” what the emails contain.

FBI officials did not respond to questions about the agency’s role in the campaign.

Huma lied about turning over all devices, lied about not saving e-mails. lied about not knowing how 650K work-related emails only she had access to in her house ended up one joint-use PC, giving access to classified to a pedophile with no security clearance....

Yeah, those are 'crimes' but it's not like they a 'CRIME crimes'.

And, like every other Clinton scandal, OTHERS / lives, reputations, etc are left in tatters while the Clintons eek out another win and skate off in search of another scandal.

In the past, others embroiled in Clinton scandals have been left broke, imprisoned, DEAD, their reputations ruined, their careers over, etc...while the Clintons end up RICHER.

If Comey had done the right thing the 1st time the FBI's rep would not be tarnished.

Comey was first appointed as a U.S. Attorney in 2002 and then the DOJ by Bush in 2003 as the U.S. Deputy Attorney General.

I asked an attorney friend of ours who has practiced at the federal level if he thought Comey had violated the Hatch Act. He said that Comey violated the spirit of the law but it would be very difficult to prove intent to influence the election with the letter he sent to Congress. [sigh]
