Many people, including Microsoft founder Bill Gates, have argued nations have a responsibility to transition off beef for environmental reasons.

Gates doesn’t really explain how this transition should occur, but we’re beginning to see.

While there’s no question that global temperatures are rising — 0.14 degrees Fahrenheit per decade, on average — people should find the efforts by central planners to curb climate change more alarming than rising temps.

Such policies have the earmarks of failed collectivist programs of the past, such as FDR’s “porcine slaughter of the innocents,” which saw millions of pigs and sows destroyed while people were going hungry — all in an attempt to keep prices high.

New Cornell research suggests an economically viable model to scrub carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to thwart runaway, point-of-no-return global warming.

Among the recent ideas to cleanse the atmosphere of carbon is to plant huge regions of forests – called reforestation or afforestation. Scientists have also considered bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), in which bioenergy power plants capture their own carbon dioxide emissions, and then store them underground or in the ocean. BECCS is very expensive and impractical now, but could become a more viable option toward the end of this century, according to this research.

Earth has warmed in the past due to changes in the Sun, volcanic eruptions, and naturally occurring increases in greenhouse gases. Our ability to understand and explain past changes is one reason we are confident that recent changes are due to humans.

Converting feed starch into ethanol to fuel our vehicles creates high protein feed for livestock that prevents them from emitting methane from the starch. No need to reduce the number of livestock. People are eating less red meat for health reasons, not climate change.

Bzzzt! Wrong answer. A co-workers wife, who was a waitress at our Olive Garden, got sick one night and died the next night. She had no breathing issues in time for them to even put her on a ventilator. Other than that, she was perfectly healthy.

Okay here is the delio. The old morningstar farms fake chicken tasted like chicken but then they effed up the recipe. Bean burgers are pretty good but they sure as hell don't taste like meat. All the other faux meat I have eaten tastes funky and not even close to meat.

I am on a low sodium/low carb diet. The fake meat is much higher in carbs than meat which is usually zero, and is loaded with salt so much I cannot eat them.

We tried whatever tryout veggie burger Burger King was selling. I forget the name but you can buy them in the grocery store. First bite was beef then after that it sucked. We both got belly aches later.
