What employers pay into unemployment insurance comes out of a salary reduction, just like with health insurance and social security.
And no, you pay more than the cost of Medicare.
Medicare is not subsidized by taxpayers, or should not need to be if the medical providers are not cheating.
With Social Security you get back more than you put in. About 3%. But you put it in 50 years earlier, and the feds borrow that money at then only 3% interest, so that also is a profit to government, not a government subsidy.
So AzogtheDefiler is correct these are not entitlements.
Individuals are paying their own way.

There are very few federal entitlements.
