Democrats aren't suggesting taking over the job because they don't like the President's choices. They want to take over the job because the President hasn't done it and somebody needs to do the job. Maybe if he had spent nearly 6 months of the last three years playing golf, he wouldn't be so derelict to his duties as President.

All that time he's spending trying to put his enemies in jail could better be spent doing the grunt work. Hiring decisions, reading the briefing materials, becoming an informed President would be better uses of his time than watching FOX News, tweeting and playing golf.

Every employer I have had since the advent of social media: cell phones had to be turned off during work hours, no social media during work hours, no TV except during lunch hours, and only in the break room.

If these vacancies are "irrelevant", why are both Republicans and Democrats saying that they endanger American security both at home and abroad. Foreign Policy is not some liberal hack publication. It's rated "least biased" with a very slight right lean, and has never failed a fact check:

The people who are being let go are diplomats who work abroad to promote the American agenda, like Marie Yovanovich - fighting corruption, and promoting American policy. There are over 100 countries with no Ambassador, at all. Not even one who donated to Trump like Gordon Sondland.

There was no ambassador in South Korea - at all, from the time Trump took office until June of 2018, nearly 18 months after Trump took office. Given that Trump was trying to negotiate a trade deal with South Korea, and rework the US military commitment there, all while negotiating with the North during this same time frame, don't you think it would have been better for Trump to have an Ambassador in country during this time frame helping to push American interests with both the North and the South, especially considering that Trump got nothing out of these negotiations.

Trumpists keep claiming everything is a fucking conspiracy to bring down Trump, while refusing to believe that those who are expresesing concern are doing so for the most non-political of reasons. And it's why Trump's foreign policy is such a disaster.

Because the people on both sides who screwed everything up in the first place want to replace the dismissed people who screwed up everything in the first place with other people who will continue to screw things up.
