Chicago, Illinois, Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) is responding to 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman’s murder, allegedly at the hands of an illegal alien, by saying the federal government ought to pass amnesty for illegal aliens.

During a press conference this week, Johnson was asked about his remarks at a recent No Kings rally in Chicago in which he said, “We have to end the assaults against immigrants,” just as Sheridan Gorman’s family was holding the Loyola University freshman’s funeral service and burial.

Here's the way American "democracy" works. Political candidates develop agendas and run for office. People vote for them if they like them and the policies that they promote. Then if they are elected, they go to the legislatures and collectively write and vote on laws, and in rare cases, those laws are passed in both houses and signed by the President, and they become LAWS.

Those LAWS are, by definition, the will of the People.

U.S. immigration laws require that people who come into this country illegally should be removed. It's not a crime, and they don't get a trial; it's just a matter of rectifying the law-breaking. That is the job of ICE. Those who forcefully try to prevent ICE from enforcing the law, creating conflict, violence and even fatalities are criminals, and should be treated as such.

The laws are not up for discussion. It is not up to local politicians to decide whether they will support enforcement of those laws or oppose it. If they don't agree with the laws, tough shit. They CANNOT obstruct enforcement of Federal law. To do so is a crime.

And Democrats do it as a matter of course. And while they are doing it, they claim that the people trying to enforce the crimes are a "threat to democracy."

They are evil.
