California voters are about 45% Dem, 25% Rep, 22% Independent and 7% minor party.

Yet our congressional delegation is 83% Dem and 17% Rep. Or 43 seats to 9 seats. I'm not sure even the Dems can gerrymander 25% of the state's population any less-represented than they are now.

It does matter if they add seats. Creates a formidable opponent there. Just think, New York with a communist leader and California going full communist. Makes you shudder a little bit. A tingle just went up my leg.
