I am trying to figure out why REDISTRICTING is good in California and Virginia, but bad in Florida and Texas.

Trump also said in 2016 that he would release his income tax returns.

Now Trump is suing the IRS for $10 billion, because his 2019, and 2020 tax returns got leaked.

You can't make this up. Trump suing his own IRS for leaking the tax returns that Trump promised to publicly release
That's Trump.

Does this surprise you?

I voted for him three times. But I never bought any of his bs.

You know Trump and GOP started it in Texas, California was the reaction..

This is not about democracy, it is about winning at all costs, it doesn't matter that these districts become uncompetitive.

Look at Trump, ran on lowering costs and no new wars, he gets in, it doesn't matter... He said what you wanted to hear so he would get a Win.. Now it is **** the people..
:itsok:

It looks like the Dems lost the chess match.

24 seat swing in Congress? +12 Red, -12 Blue.

Ouch

This isn't a chess match. This is your civil war playing out. And as usual, Trump is losing - BIGLY.

If you never bought his BS, then why did you vote for him?

His sparkling personality?
Did you think about it?

Hillary Clinton is someone with history....a history I've watched unfold. She is as dirty as two-month-old's diaper. Don't trust her and I know she's devious.

Donald Trump is a loud mouthed, salesman who's opinion of himself is a big as the Goodyear Blimp.

Clinton had all the right words for people who would send her money. The rest were deplorables.

In the end:

There was an open SCOTUS spot when the election took place. I knew that if Clinton got in there, we'd get someone like Jackson or Sotomeyer (judges who could give a **** about the constitution).

I wasn't so sure with Trump.

So I figured I'd take a chance.

In the end, that was what mattered most to me.

THREE JUDGES later.....

My vote for Donald Trump was justified 100 times over.

And with Biden's appointment of a DEI driven idiot.....it went to 300 times.

Gerrymandering can be a double edged sword in the current climate.
Take as an example two districts, one where the republican won by 20 points, the other the republican lost by 4 points.
If they move republican sections to the seat they lost by 4 points, and democratic sections to the seat they won by 20 points.
This could ideally result in two seats they would theoretically win by 8 points each.

But the results of recent special elections tell a story of democrats picking up more than 10 points on average. So for the above example, the un-gerrymandered results would stay the same, but the gerrymandered shift, resulting in both seats going democratic by 2 point victory margins.

So you don't mind our soldiers getting killed, or paying higher prices for gasoline and food?

Not sure I am even interested in that question. It seems to imply that I should.

"mind soldiers getting killed"......of course I "mind". How stupid is that.

Is that a reason not to pressure a regime who routinely massacres and savages it's own citizenry?

"higher" than what? Still lower than when Biden was in office.

You can look at it 100 ways.....and always find this kind of thing.

What matters more is why people even care.

I am done talking with the far left and listening to anything they have to say.

As far as I am concerned, they are Stalinist-Russians.......and I now treat them that way.

Have you seen the "Trump Country" maps. Showing red and blue by county, with states being over 90% red, with a few blue areas. And from this they conclude how popular Trump is.
But they discount that the blue areas, represent urban centers with dense populations and many more people, than in the rural red areas covering lots of acreage but having far fewer people.

Of course republicans have a solution to gerrymander their house representation.

Republicans unveil proposed congressional map that carves up Memphis

Tennessee House and Senate Republicans revealed a new congressional map on May 6 that splits Memphis into three districts and the Nashville area into five.

The new map splits the 9th Congressional District, which has been Tennessee's last remaining Democratic stronghold, into three separate seats, carving up the state's only majority-Black congressional seat.
Yep. They count dirt as votes.
