Dems' Inflation Plan: Billions More In Spending

Over $800 billion was allocated for the Pentagon, more than $30 billion for the Department of Energy, and some $400 million to other federal agencies.

More vote buying. Who do the people that work for these bureaucracies and agencies vote for come election time?
Don't forget the cash Biden just promised the Palestinians.

Well the tens of millions of dollars earmarked for their special interest projects and donors, and the millions of dollars in campaign kickbacks, will still be extremely lucrative windfalls even if the inflation rate were to double or triple. Those people never suffer from the economic ramifications of their criminally irresponsible and self-serving fiscal policies. The ones who suffer are the working class people living paycheck to paycheck, retirees living on savings, and seniors living on fixed incomes from ss or pensions. The problem is many of those people are too stupid and uninformed to understand what's going on, and are easily bought off by the lure of more "free money" from the very crook politicians that caused the predicament (which politicians from both parties these days just treat as an opportunity for another boondoggle treasury raid)

That's why I've been saying for the longest time that we need a national consumption tax. The tax would be strictly earmarked to pay down the debt, let's say five cents on the dollar. If our Congress creates a deficit in spending, that too must be covered by the consumption tax.

If you want free college, it goes from five cents to seven cents on the dollar. Payoff student loans, another one cent per dollar. Fund the Ukraine war, another three cents on the dollar.

The reason spending is out of control is because it won't affect most people.........today. If people had to actually pay for all this spending, you'd see how fast they would revolt at all this spending and we could then bring that under control.

Most republicans voted for this, too. A bunch of assholes!

There were more than 600 amendments voted on for the bill. Key provisions in the bill include another $1 billion for Ukraine, almost a billion for four EC-37B Compass Call electronic warfare aircraft for the Space Force, more high-tech Navy ships, more stipulations for jet sales to Turkey, a pay bump for soldiers due to inflation, and other measures.

It was more funding than President Biden had requested.

Sixty-two Republicans and 39 Democrats voted against the package, with some Republicans raising concerns about a lack of oversight for the spending, the military’s continued vaccine mandate, and the ramifications of the spending on skyrocketing inflation.

"The National Defense Authorization Act passed the House by a vote of 329-101, authorizing $839 billion in spending. Over $800 billion was allocated for the Pentagon, more than $30 billion for the Department of Energy, and some $400 million to other federal agencies. "
I wasn't a math major but I believe those allocations total $1,230 billion?

Only if you count millions as billions.

Don't be dumb. How much of the 839 billion goes to military pay raises?

Over $800B goes to the pentegon for raises, new ships, and some planes for Trump's Space Force. Very nice of the DNC to pass the Trump Legacy legislation.

The top Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL) praised the passage of the bill. He added, “However, our work is not done — we will continue to improve upon this bill in conference to ensure that this legislation gives our warfighters what they need.”

Rogers also called the bill the “definition of a bipartisan bill.”

It's a 4.6% raise so necessary because of 9.1% Bidenflation. They're still in the hole.
