Dems Clueless about Combat

This new generation is clueless of what real war is. Pray we never have to go up against a Chinese division like we did the nazi's or the japs during wwII. We will be out ran, surrounded and then slaughtered.

We have the most powerful fighting force in the history of mankind. Best trained, best motivated, best tactics, best equipment, best logistics

They have repeatedly shown that they are up to the job whenever they have been asked to fight

What does that Warmongering Chickenhawk Commander In Chump have to say about this, between golf swings.

I don't see the need for a seperate class of medal for drone pilots. There are multiple MOSs that don't see direct combat yet are recognized for exemplary service.

Drone pilots do an exceptional job but I don't see where a special recognition is warranted

In most cases you're right. But, if someone is deserving of something more than an Air Force Commendation medal and less than a Legion of Merit for actions relating to "combat" but not directly in combat, what do you give them? I think there ought to be a bronze star equivalent (no V device) for participating (but not personally engaged) in combat. Likely, there will be more and more of these positions in the near future before we develop our robot army.

They used to give a Navy Achievement Medal for combat action until it was diminished to a meaningless award. I've seen E-3's getting NAMS for cleaning the shitter exceptionally while on mess duty in the Wardroom.

Good to get an educated Conservative opinion

Thanks for contributing

Shut your gay, non-serving, cocksucking mouth. The only thing you know about "service" to your country is sucking off soldiers at the bus station. You don't have/never had, the nuts to enlist. So, STFU.

Now we have queers infecting it. Well done.

Why don't you enlist and suck a dick in celebration

Mitt Romney called. He says your tongue missed one of the bloodstains in his ass crack.

Back to work!!!!

Here's another "never served, non-serving **********" who's hidden out behind a keyboard since Gulf War 1.

Put your mouth back on Obama's nuts, and suck.

Good to see we are geting the informed opinion of a 23 year Navy vet
You do them proud

I am currently working on an Army project using Gray Eagle. What UAV experience do you bring to the table?

Same in the Army, but the AAM wasn't much when it was created. (I was in when was created). But, an ArCom would be above an AAM anyway. So, my question is if a drone pilot earned something higher than an ArCom what would they get?

Your name tag says "Sewer Worker" is this the new Army drone that secretly roams the sewers?

Since Obama has approved more drone attacks than Bush, I am unclear how this article proves "Dems are clueless about combat".

So a drone taking out a guy and the 7 or 8 innocent people that just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time is now defined as combat?

Was a heavy bomber dropping bombs on the city of Dresden in WWII combat? How about nuking Hiroshima?

I don't think a drone pilot deserves a higher award than someone who is actually in a combat zone. However, asking someone to kill other people is still asking a lot of them.

Of course it was for both of those. Dresden has it's own issues about whether it was appropriate under the standards of the times as a military target, but asking whether the pilots that flew the mission was engaged in combat is nonsense. Dresden would have been a hard mission. It's way East.

Hiroshima, is only controversial because of the bomb. It was a legit target heavily engaged in war production. If we had firebombed it like we did Tokyo, with the same resultant devastation, it wouldn't be a question. For Paul Tibbets, the pilot, absolutely combat.

I would agree. Which is why I've said, don't allow "V" for Valor devices to be part of the award. I also don't want anyone to get a bronze star for flying a drone even without a V. I want it to be clear that they got an award for flying a UAV and not putting themselves in harms way. It's important work. It's good work and it's no doubt hard work sometimes. But, at the end of the day when I, as an Infantryman was curling up on the hard ground with my rifle, they get a nice warm bed (and no mortars or grenades to disturb their sleep). This should be recognized.
