He could have fixed it without closing down the economy, that's the point. He could have made sure that the country was ready to isolate outbreaks. This is what South Korea did, this is what Germany did, and they haven't had anywhere near the numbers of cases or deaths we've had, despite having closer economic ties with China.
You have no idea what you're talking about. First of all, we have more than twice the population than those two countries combined. Secondly is the FACT that not everybody knows when they have this thing. It's called asymptomatic. It's the biggest concern of our medical people in the federal government.
It could have been here weeks before we even knew about the first case. We have no idea. Besides asymptomatic people, other ailments are similar to a cold or perhaps mild flu, which many people don't go to the doctor for.
Okay, that has little to do with Trump. The fact is, the government itself is very good at what it does. The problem was, these things all should have been done in January, not the end of March.
Oh, the US just passed up Italy. We NOW have the most deaths from the virus than any other country. "we're number one! we're number one!"
Italy has less than one-fifth of our population. Also, doctors in Italy wanted to know why the sudden drop of people with heart attacks, diabetes, kidney failure, and so on. They average X amount of deaths for all other medical conditions per month, and all of a sudden, it dropped off!
So they quit counting deaths that were not the direct cause of COVID-19. We are not doing the same. If you go to the hospital, die of a heart attack, and your blood work comes back as having the virus, you are categorized as a COVID-19 death.
