Democrats want families earning $500,000 to keep getting Obamacare subsidies!

Jeepers, if that is true I don't support it at all! But then how likely is it that the claim is true, in the real world.

Not comparable to the lie that you could keep your plan and keep your doctor, and still save money.
It was a fact that you could keep your plan and your doctor, but there is always an if involved. If your doctor still takes that issuance in the next year. Or if the if the insurers plan doesn't changes premiums and/or benefit levels, but you could. He never claimed that those things, which were common before Obamacare, would never happen again.

Really? Most of us get our insurance companies from our employers, and we have NO say in what the program is.

If you had been paying attention to the Natalie Sarkisyan case, they ruled that the family had no standing to sue the Insurance Company for non-performance, because their contract was with the fathers employer.

Most programs don't get removed because people are generally happy with them.

Not really. One major illness from a bankruptcy. That's were we are at.
I'm talking day-to-day.

Righties believed their own bullshit narratives and thought this was going to be single-payer and/or the end of private markets and freedom of contract for doctors and insurers.

Suddenly she's no longer a fruit cake but now the lefts heroine.

Liz Cheney affect.
If you say so, but what happens to Americans whose healthcare coverage is taken away by Trump?

That breaks down to about 32,000 per state over ten years. Figure out how many will work eighty hours a month, figure the fraud.

The Democrats created a 6.5% temporary rise in the income level during covid with a sunset provision for it....which will soon be here.
There's plenty of jobs offering HC if someone is interested.

So what did they do before the freebie?

The ACA had stipulations to grandfather existing plans. Didn’t you know that?

And you could always buy a non-conforming plan off the ACA marketplace.
To be fair although the law allowed insurance companies to keep grandfathered plans insurance companies didn't have to. I think a couple of large companies did not keep them.

To retain grandfathered status, a plan could not make significant changes that increased costs or cut benefits. Many plans lost their status over time as they made these changes to adjust to market conditions. For example, a plan could lose its grandfathered status by:
  • Significantly increasing copayments, deductibles, or coinsurance.
  • Reducing the employer's percentage contribution toward the premium.
  • Eliminating or substantially cutting benefits for a specific condition
But none were offered after the signups begun.

I still have a handful on their old plans but as a block of business diminishes the rates go way up and are now comparable to an off market place plan.

That just shows what a disaster Obamacare is. Obama forced us into a program where insurance is now so overpriced it costs a family of five $50,000.

Subsidized insurance means insurance skyrockets,
Sounds like a good reason to have Single Payer health care like the rest of the civilized world.

Oh, wait, that's not what you were going for.

Hey, wait, Israel has universal health insurance.

If the Republican scheme to inflict huge increases in health insurance cost is forced upon Americans, with the consequent rise in uninsured, they will be held responsible, as they, inevitably, try to assign blame elsewhere.

Overall, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated that the bill would lead to 10.9 million more people being uninsured in 2034, with 7.8 million of those due to the bill’s Medicaid provisions and the rest due to changes concerning the Affordable Care Act’s insurance marketplaces.

HC provider's would be the ones increasing costs not Congress.

WTF are we doing in the HC business anyway?

Most employers offer various levels of plans. And you can change jobs if you really get in a snit.

Try this:

New Analysis Shows Expiring ACA Subsidies Would Hit Young Americans In RED STATES Hardest

Republicans should just honestly admit that they want to pass legislation that would leave millions of their constituents uninsured.

Their lies were thoroughly exposed.

Fact Check: Democrats didn't shut down government to fund health care for 'illegal aliens'
Try what? You already got busted posting something that was fake.

If you get gravely ill, you’re going to switch jobs in hopes of finding better insurance? That seems impractical for any number of reasons.

Once you get ill, you are under the insurance you have. This is more about before you get ill.

Once the government takes over, you have far less choices, are you debating that concept?

Perhaps you’ve never seen a senior navigating Medicare open enrollment, but they tend to have a hell of a lot more options than the average person in an employer-sponsored plan.

I doubt they have as much options as I do.
