Democrats make the most solid case yet for a border wall

Do you really think that the stupid wall is going to stop all illegal immigration?
No. And I'm not even a proponent for the wall. That doesn't change the fact that the Senate Dumbocrats made one of the dumbest statements. They were clearly uninformed about the costs associated with illegal aliens.
What about the 40% who arrive legally on planes and then overstay their visas?
What about them? We know they are here and we know who they are. They aren't a problem. [DERP!!!]

Of course dingleberry ignores the fact that you just don’t build the wall. You have to maintain it which is probably a nominal cost (we’ll see) but even if you do build the silly thing, you still need to have the border patrol, the camera monitoring, the monitoring of the sensors, etc… The cost of the wall add $70B to the expenditure; not cap it. :p
All of which will pay for itself plus some by eliminating a hundred billions dollars per year...dumb ass.

We knew politics wasn't your strong point. We can now eliminate math as well.

A new report from Senate Democrats claims that the border wall could (key word) cost $70 billion. Well, lets just say that is true. Lets give them their worst case scenario. Even ardent left-wing organizations acknowledge that illegal aliens cost the U.S. $113 billion per year. And adjusted for illegal "contributions" the net result is still a $99 billion per year cost to U.S. taxpayers. Which means that in less than one year, the wall will pay for itself. And in one full year, the wall will result in a $29 billion surplus in the absolute worst case scenario (it could - and probably would - be even higher than that).

As usual, the Democrats didn't think this one through. :lmao:

That is just the wall, not the rest of the enforcement necessary to accomplish, right wing fantasy.

No need for a wall.

Simply begin crucifying employers who hire Illegal Aliens.

Simply make it illegal to sell or rent a residence or car to an Illegal, or to provide one with public schooling or to permit them to wire money home, etc.

Simply reinterpret the 14th so that Anchor Babies do not automatically become citizens.

Simply sentence Illegal Aliens to some term of prison at hard labor.

If the present law(s) do not permit such, tweak the laws until they do.

Or get the 5-4 SCOTUS to uphold the approach.

Agreed, only problem ends up being when you get a political party in charge that doesn't uphold the law.

Unfortunately, that has been BOTH parties, until The Outsider came along, anyway.

Unfortunately only about 60% come across the souther border, it will take a bit longer to recover the costs than you indicated, about a year and a half.

The wall makes every border guard more effective. That means it reduces the cost of manning the border.

So the guards are getting a pay cut?
Do all snowflakes have a talent for posting non sequiturs?

You tell me princess.

I personally don't think we need one. If we fixes the causes of illegals, the effects would cease. Basic logic.
But you stupid leftists couldn't argue your way out of a wet paper bag. You people are stupid.

/---- You libtards are a riot. How do you justify $70 billion year to maintain a wall? Why not say 2 Trillion a year for even more drama?

All we really need to do is create a law that anybody caught here illegally will face a minimum five years in prison. Watch how many people flood that border trying to get the hell out of here.

Just think about the financials there. Over $100 billion per year we will be saving. In 10 years, that's a trillion dollars. Only an asshole progressive looking to steal elections could possibly object to enforcing the law, saving a hundred billion per year, and securing our nation.

Yep

.

Democrats still won't acknowledge they want illegals here....its because other than blacks and mentally ill degenerates that's the lefts voting bloc!

Absolutely. The Democrat parties goal is to make whites a minority as quickly as possible. Every other race of people vote Democrat by majority. Once they accomplish making whites a minority, we will be a one-party country forever.

Only liberal whites would be stupid enough to support a party that wants to make their race a minority. The Democrat party is the anti-white party.

Yep, but part of that savings needs to go into an effective visa entry/exit system. We have to keep track of these folks and make sure they leave as agreed.

.

derp ya'll

The reason they stay is because there is no reason for them to leave. Illegals come here and take our jobs, we allow them to buy homes, we allow them to send their kids to our schools, we allow them to open checking accounts and get credit cards, liberal states allow them to get drivers licenses. Why leave?

Now we have a President that pulled out the welcome mat on our borders. For once in my lifetime, we have a President that's sending a message to foreigners, and so far, it seems they are taking us seriously for a change.

Stupid is as stupid does.

Do you really think that the stupid wall is going to stop all illegal immigration?

That's gonna have to be one tall fucking wall! [derp]

Those 40% are not running back and forth across our border bringing in narcotics that are killing tens of thousands of Americans every year. Nobody said the wall would stop "all" illegal immigration. It's just one of many steps. It's sending a message to all illegals here and those that were thinking of overstaying their Visas.

I'll handle this one. Poor CC is slow and a "special needs" individual. I have learned how to communicate with her over the years (I just imagine I'm talking to my daughters when they were 2 - it's all about simplifying).

For starters, the guards aren't the cost my dear. It's providing "free" healthcare to these criminals, and "free" education to these criminals, "free" housing to these criminals, "free" food to these criminals, and the incredible costs associated with the crimes they commit.

In addition to that...a wall prevents people from simply stepping over the border. That means a lot less guards are required for patrol.

So, we've established that 40% of illegal immigrants won't be impacted by the wall because they are people who came in and overstayed their visas.

So, we're building a wall to keep out the other 60%.

I think we can all agree that no wall could be 100% effective, so let's say it keeps 50% of those 60% out (and, believe me, that's being very generous).

So, now we're building a wall to keep out 30% at this point.

What percentage of those people who would be deterred would've committed criminal acts had they entered?

Let's say 10% (again, ridiculously generous).

So, you're spending all this fucking money and manpower to prevent less than 3% of immigrants who might enter and cause problems.

Awesome plan.

I believe your estimation is way off. If we build a wall with security features in it like motion detectors, cameras and ground sensors, it will keep at minimum 95% of those people from entering the US through that border, and I think much more than that.

It's not just the criminal activity that's a problem, it's the fact these people come here and damage our way of life in regards to jobs, education for our children, medical care, and slowly turning us into a bilingual country.

The fact that we are taking immigration seriously is sending a message to those who would otherwise come here including Visa holders, so in the future I expect to see a decline in that as well.
