Democrats Bring Bill To Prohibit Armed Citizen Militias

246. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
Note to all:
If anyone asks "Where is the well-regulated militia?" you only need point to this.

My daughter could hit the O in a Coke can from a quarter mile out, by the time she was 9.

Unfortunately she only started defending herself around age 12 or so, before that it was just a game.

You can blame BLM for it.

The screaming leftards made her realize that self defense could be important.

Deplorable

and you have taught you poor little daughter the same

Did BLM scare you and the little princess?

Guess what I taught my daughters? To do post grad work, to ride the subway, to go to museums and Broadway shows. Loser

10 USC Ch. 12: THE MILITIA
From Title 10—ARMED FORCES Subtitle A—General Military Law

And yet you can't show that their is a age maximum for the unorganized militia. The militia is separate from the unorganized militia it has no connection with the organized militia. Plus the organized militia can't keep and bear their own arms.

In response to the 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, Democratic congressmen have introduced the “Preventing Private Paramilitary Activity Act.” This legislation aims to establish federal criminal penalties for private paramilitary activities. This will apparently address a legislative gap identified by Georgetown Law. The act seeks to stop people from intimidating officials, disrupting government proceedings, and impersonating law enforcement.
Senator Ed Markey is a key supporter of the bill. He stressed its urgency by recalling the 2021 Capitol riots. He highlighted the involvement of paramilitary groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers in these events. He said they “pose a serious threat to democracy and the rule of law.”
Representative Jamie Raskin, co-sponsor of the bill, spoke about its purpose. Emphasizing the legislation’s focus, Raskin said, “Our legislation makes the obvious but essential clarification that these domestic extremists’ paramilitary operations are in no way protected by our Constitution.” He claimed it was a “critical effort to protect the rule of law, deter insurrection and defend our democracy.”

Comment:
This is an election year Fear Mongering Campaign.
The 2024 campaign theme for the Dirty Democrat Party is that there is a big threat coming from "paramilitary groups" and "domestic extremists".
There was no insurrection and there is no big threat.
How many years will the crazy Democrat Insurrection Theorists keep banging their drum?
Do people even trust anything that the corrupt Democrats say or do anymore?

For one, there is already a thread on this. Two, this is to keep extremists in check.

The last time I saw, all the above activities are already illegal, and other activities noted in the article are constitutionally protected. What's next outlawing paintball games.

But what I really don't understand is two fold. First, why is this highly biased "financial site" reporting on a political bill in the first place. Second, are they not smart enough to give a bill number, so the reader can tell where the bill originated. If it's a senate bill, raskin (a rep) can't be a cosponsor, unless a companion bill was filed in the house.

.

Clue it is 2024
So, faggot? Is life better off for Americans in 2024, or was it better in 1980 for them?

It was better in 1980. Your way sucks donkey balls.

That's even with waning Carter 17% inflation and all. Things were getting better with Saint Ronny.

PLUS..Carter may have sucked as a president, but he wasn't an unAmerican one.

YOU are an unAmerican shitbag. Fuck You!

How dare you pummel them with Truth 😆🤣😝

The leftist tyrants are scared shitless of American patriots and the Second Amendment, which was the founding father's intent from the start.
Precisely. Madison correctly noted that there were two things that a tyrant needs to oppress: 1) an enslaved media (which the Dems now have), and 2) a disarmed populace (which the Dems are gunning for….pun intended.
