There was a remarkable exchange between Bernie Moreno and democrat witnesses who couldn’t offer a coherent comment about the legality of illegal immigration.
They were unsure if entering the country illegally was a crime.

A fiery exchange took place at the Senate Budget Committee hearing on Tuesday when Sen. Bernie Moreno asked a former Biden adviser whether illegal immigration into the United States is a crime.

Moreno posed the question to Democrat hearing witness Brendan Duke, a former senior policy adviser in the Biden White House who is now senior director for federal budget policy at the Center for American Progress.

“I don’t know anything about this law,” Duke replied when Moreno asked if the 1952 Immigration and Naturalization Act “made a mistake” barring people from entering the United States illegally, Fox News reported.

It's a civil offense not criminal, the first time crossing unless the govt takes them to court and charges them with a misdemeanor and wins. Asylum seekers meeting preliminary criteria are not criminals, until they've been denied asylum in a court hearing, and refused to leave. And they are not criminals if they applied through the parole program.....unless they break the parole agreement rules.

So yeah, it isn't one simple yes or no answer.

Nuance hurts their tiny brains

Unsure If Illegal Immigration Is a Crime? Sure, it's a crime like Jay Walking is and parking in a loading zone

So yeah, it actually is a simple yes or no.

Except, moron, that illegal entry is a federal crime.

Gawd, you’re stupid.

No nuance required, if it can be charged as a crime, it's a crime until otherwise determined.

Not all crimes are equal. D'Oh!

"Illegal immigration is not a felony crime by default; it is primarily handled as a civil offense, though specific actions can be misdemeanors or felonies under federal law"

Yet,
Donald J. Trump was convicted on many felony counts, with some people claiming them as not "real crimes" :auiqs.jpg:

You introduced nuance with your "if"

"But, but, but..." The classic maga defense

So IT attacks you for something IT introduced ITself? Wonders never cease.

Nuance is all over the LAW .. We have 1st degree of something, we have 2nd degree of something we have...

Not all crimes are equal.

Yet as you said, they are still crimes.

So, I take it to mean you are unaware that illegal entry to the US is a crime. You’re as clueless as the witness the democrats called to the senate hearing.

But…. But …. But…. But what about Trump? This thread is not about your hero, DJT.

Nobody, not a Judge, not a Jury, not a Prosecutor or Defense lawyer believes all crimes are equal in the sense you people-of-the-cult try to portray it.

There are crimes, and then there are crimes and if you can't acknowledge that you belong in a mental institutionDHyMJsjUwAA4rBX.webp

Remarkable that you still don’t understand that illegal entry into the US is a crime.
