One aspect of the government shutdown that probably wasn’t anticipated by Chuck Schumer and other Democrats, is that it has revealed to the public just how many people receive food stamps.
Years ago, when the program was still called ‘food stamps’ it was seen as something that struggling families might use temporarily to get through a hard time. Then it was re-branded as the ‘SNAP’ program and destigmatized. People were encouraged to enroll. Now there are many more people using the program, many who probably don’t even really need it.
The longer the shutdown goes on, the more reports there are about this and it’s stunning to taxpayers who did not realize until now how incredibly huge this is.

It really is shocking and now that Democrats have prolonged the shutdown, more people are going to be talking about this.


Commentary:

Nearly two thirds of illegal aliens are collecting food stamps, meaning that most of the people getting food stamps from the U.S. Government and the U.S. Taxpayer are not even Americans.
That is what Democrats have accomplished in the 4 years of the Biden era.
The DOGE program initiated in January did uncover the fraud within the SNAP program that also included Medicare and Medicaid but I guess bo one was listening.
There have been some honest investigative journalists like like Oscar Blue Ramirez, Ben Bergquam, and Michael Yon that have reported and sound the alarm about what the Biden regime was doing. It was proven that NGOs like Catholic Charities, the Red Cross, and the UN were orchestrating the invasion. They got the proof that the illegal aliens were given Social Security cards and debit cards at the border before they were bussed up to the hotels in the sanctuary cities. And once they got settled into the hotels, they were given welfare benefits and healthcare. The illegal themselves bragged about it on Tik-Tok. Vegas-Axis on Youtube reported it too.
And why haven't we been talking about this since January? What other major benefits have they been getting? Section 8 housing?
It's no wonder that we're going bankrupt in America and becoming a Marxist Socialist country.
It appears that Obama was true to his word. He Fundamentally Transformed America into a Marxist Socialist State.

1) Overturn Citizens United. Our politicians will always be hopeless corrupt until we get Big Donors and Big Money out of our elections.
2) Make lobbying illegal. Congress should serve the people, not the corporations.
3) Make political corruption treason and punished severely.
4) Term limits in congress.
5) Make balanced budgets a law and impose a debt ceiling.

I can go on for days. These things should be thoroughly discussed by the right and become key election points. After the midterms the right will have noticeable majorities in the house and senate and can finally put some restraints on the federal government and get it back to serving the people in the most effective and efficient way possible. If the GOP politicians resist, vote them out of office. Elect Independents who may do a better job.

I agree with your list, although taken individually will have a hard time, some more that others, because it requires that Congress critters vote against their self interests. But, overall I say yes, and please.

If we could get candidates to realize that they are entrusted with a solemn duty to the people that voted them in, instead of a way to make wealth for themselves, it'd be a good start.
