Who is keeping the federal government shut down, Trump or Schumer? Be careful, your democrap peers are watching and could call you a racist and a Nazi for telling the truth. Can you live with that? Of course not, so the POTUS, who has no say in the shutdown, is at fault. You want to fix/streamline the SNAP system? That's a great idea. Prior Presidents appear to have made little attempt in this area. NO DOUBT there are people who should not be receiving benefits. NO DOUBT there are generations of families who have become more dependent on assistance and less dependent on themselves.

Let's fix that!

How? Well, you do the same ******* thing that we SHOULD do on any OTHER government programs: A careful, patient, informed, professional AUDIT on the entire system. That might take six to eight months. Then you create a PLAN to phase out benefits per the results of the audit. Then you IMPLEMENT the plan. Then you carefully MONITOR the plan, since something the size of a government program will sure as hell have its bugs. Then you TWEAK the plan per your monitoring.

While you're doing this, you're also creating a template that could be used for other government programs in the future for added efficiency. Then you set up a regular schedule to keep things clean.
