Democracy Is a Partisan Issue

So the right is "low", independents are "average" and leftists are "high."

You can see there are twice as many independents. These are people who shake their heads as the crazies fight it out.

A very well written argument. Noticeably absent, however, is any hint that the Democratic Party has somehow proven itself worthy of our trust lately and is suddenly no longer codependent upon it's partner in crime. A most telling phrase:
While I agree that American democracy requires two functioning parties,
Oh? Who's he pretending to agree with? This is the problem. At all costs one simply must promote the duopoly. We will tolerate no discussion of third, fourth, or fifth parties, not to mention sixth or seventh!

This is why I've been Independent since Bill C. illustrated how "success" for a Democratic President was simply a matter of out Republicaning the Republicans while pressuring the congressional Democrats to just eat it and call it good. In reality, both major Parties serve only the moneyed interests while those doing the work gain all the benefits of professional lip service.
