Once the U.S. Supreme Court rules against affirmative action in hiring, Negroes not hired will have nothing to depend on. All the company that rejected the Negroes will need to do is to show how poorly the Negroes did on objective tests of aptitude and knowledge.

There will be no blanket policy of not hiring Negroes for managerial and professional jobs. Those who meet the hiring criteria will be hired.

I have had employers who were open in expressing their hostility toward Negroes. One told me, "Most of the people here are prejudiced. I am prejudiced myself."

Back then attitudes like that horrified me. Now I understand them. Prejudice is based on previous experience.

I am prejudiced in favor of Orientals. I have known many. I have never known an Oriental I did not like. My two best friends in high school were Chinee Americans. I have never known an Oriental who liked Negroes. One of my Chinese friends had attended black majority public schools. He hated Negroes.

If proximity to Negroes dispelled prejudice against them, Southern whites would be the least prejudiced whites in the United States.

Except we really don't have AA in hiring now, bud. What we do have is a series of civil rights laws that makes discrimination illegal, and most employers cover themselves by hiring a minimum amount of women or minorities.

I've never been on a job interview where they "tested" my aptitudes. Usually, my resume has been sufficient.

The best way to avoid those questions is to hire just enough minorities to have plausible deniability.

Why wouldn't there be? I mean, if you accept the notion that human beings (or something very much like human beings) could evolve in a galaxy far, far away, why wouldn't they have the same diversity that humans from Earth should have.

Now, since you are talking (I guess) about Rose Tico, the main reason why she was included as a character was because Disney wanted to try to expand the popularity of Star Wars in the Chinese market. When her character didn't quite resonate, they largely wrote her out of the next movie.

The civil rights laws prohibit racial discrimination. The average American Negro has an IQ of 85. For white Gentiles that is 100, For Orientals it is 106. For the average Jews it is 115. Therefore, it is not possible to achieve racial equity without discriminating against white Gentiles, Orientals, and Jews. That violates the civil rights laws.
