For instance, the Allies maintained the blockade of food on Germany for almost a year after the Armistice, with the intent of starving them out until they signed Versailles.

The Weimar Regime went along with it.

Germans hated them FAR more than they hated the Kaiser.

The ironic thing is, if the Kaiser had stayed on as a constitutional monarch, that probably would have prevented Hitler from happening. Wilhelm was disgusted by the anti-Semitic rhetoric of Hitler.
