Defunding Police

The movement to defund should be to DEMOCRATIZE districts where residents SHARE responsibility
for law enforcement, so like college campus towns, they can hire their own police, along with teachers, doctors and legal defense.
That will do the most to solve these problems of disparity and discrimination:
by teaching ALL people to depend on themselves for self-govt instead of
giving too much authority to govt and then complaining when it gets abused!

I urge communities to look at the success of campus police
that can solve problems of profiling by residents knowing each other.
This becomes a similar issue of defunding public schools and going with private charter.

We can actually have a mix of both, according to what each district enacts
democratically to represent the residents, including hiring their own
teachers, police and doctors, similar to university campus towns.

(A) I'm talking about self governing DISTRICTS
(1) City Council Districts (11 in Houston)
(2) County Districts or Precincts
(3) Party Precincts (2500-3000 per party per precinct)
Each of those UNITS can support its own
Medical Cooperative of 1500 members
per chapter getting the same group discount rates as larger groups
(With 10 Cooperative Clinics for 1500 members, 150K members = $5-10 Million
in capital spent on medical services,
so that is enough lobbying leverage for
representing your own interests and negotiations in public policy www.medcoops.info)

Sorry this wasn't clear quarantine
I live in Houston where the City has wasted billions of dollars not representing the Districts, so I have compiled solutions and models that can restructure our Districts and Precincts to be democratically self governed.

(B) NO, the problem isnt a broken system, but failure to teach, respect and enforce the laws we have already under Constitutional laws and ethics www.ethics-commission.net

I can list documented examples of govt abuse due to corporate interests buying out campaigns for office and bypassing checks, balances and limits on govt without equal access to legal defense to stop corporate and party abuses, such as:

(1) City, State, Federal and Nonprofit authorities abusing Taxpayer money to violate Federal HUD and Historic Preservation laws to seize and destroy two National Historic Landmarks of APV public housing and Freedmen's Town (including violating and censoring federal laws, subgrant funding contracts and plans to preserve the historic housing WWII military site as a sustainable community campus under a democratically elected residential council www.campusplan.org established by law under HOPE VI federal housing reform)

(2) City Govt getting sued and losing their lawsuit after passing red light camera laws found to violate Constitutional rights including due process. The City still owes taxpayers for debts, damages, costs and consequences never fully accounted for.

(3) Contested homeless ordinance banning, fining or jailing volunteers or nonprofit and church groups from their outreach to the homeless, in violation of First Amendment rights and freedoms.

(4) The poorly written HERO ordinance that was found in Court to have violated city procedures by denying a lawful petition by citizens who had to sue the City to enforce the process the citizens followed to block the ordinance. (Besides the City abusing and denying the legal process, the contents of the ordinance was also unconstitutional by establishing social beliefs and practices against beliefs of citizens, plus imposing unconstitutional fines and penalties that violated free speech by banning "asking questions" to LGBT persons in restrooms as harassment)

(5) also the "sanctuary" policies in the City of Houston and other Cities in Texas has been challenged as violating equal protections and right of security of citizens.

(6) other unchecked abuses of state and federal funding including post Harvey recovery funds, and now the waste of 17-60 million in funding for pandemic response.

You are hopelessly naive if you think 'local policing' in a gang infested hood is no different than the crime watch programs out here in the Burbs.

Do you think turning some feral predatory animals loose in your chicken coup will keep your chickens safe?

Half of what police departments do is to generate revenue. America would be a better place without useless fines and probation for victimless crimes.

Damn right! Everybody running red lights or driving drunk at 100 mph through residential neighborhoods, like modern urban hero Rodney King got paid millions of dollars for, will indeed make us a better place! If you like a lot of dead people laying around in the streets, especially dead kids!

Dear Picaro
I happen to know well experienced community groups and leaders who have no problem working with constables, sheriffs, police, schools and local Govt, as well as work with cons, gangs and even drug and sex traffickers on rehab and recovery.

Some community leaders are secular, and happen to specialize in criminal and juvenile justice issues and reform programs.

Some organizations are faith based, and use Christian spiritual healing to cure the causes of drug and sex abuse, as well as related problems of mental and physical illness.

You are right -- without ability to manage criminal illness and dangerous abuses, of course, community policing cannot work!

That's the problem we have now, with failed screening to catch criminals among teachers, police, military or other govt.

But when we incorporate effective medical standards for diagnosing, treating or curing criminal illness and addictive or abusive disorders, we won't have sick dangerous people running around to threaten others!

Here's an example of how even violently dangerous criminal sickness can be treated, managed or cured if detected in time for earlier intervention: www.ariseandshine.org
These methods of deep spiritual therapy to identify and remove the root causes of mental and criminal illness have also been the subject of medical study and R&D.

Make no mistake about what we are witnessing. Leftists in America, from mayors to governors, to media, to movie stars, have gone completely unhinged, proving once again that there is no limit to the lunacy that these people will engage in. The latest crazieness is the call to defund police departments (at a time when they need to be strengthened), as well as to abolish the police entirely.

Don't think that just because this is totally absurd and insane, that it can't happen. It already has happened. In some cities, efforts to turn that notion into action are already underway, with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announcing on Wednesday that he would be making cuts of up to $150 million to the police budget, and reinvesting those funds in black communities. Not only a crazy and dangerous move, but a racist one, as well.

Several members of the Minneapolis City Council this week have expressed support for radical changes to how the city handles law enforcement, including a move to "dismantle" the police department and replace it with "a transformative new model for public safety." Steve Fletcher, a member of the Minneapolis City Council, condemned Bob Kroll of the police union in a long thread, in which he said the city should "declare policing as we know it a thing of the past."

Jeremiah Ellison, son of the Attorney General, Keith Ellison, tweeted "We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department, and when we’re done, we’re not simply gonna glue it back together. We are going to dramatically rethink how we approach public safety and emergency response. It’s really past due."

All this is giving new meaning to the age old term, YOUNG AND STUPID.

Tucker Carlson addressed this on his Monday Night show.....he pointed out that most police are conservatives and most support Trump.....the democrats know this, and the point is to drive out conservatives from the police to be replaced by those loyal to the democrat party.....just like they have a lock on Hollywood, the education system and the governments of blue states...........

Defund the police? Why? How about we give the FBI to the MAFIA? Or say the United college negro fund to the KKK because hey being opposite makes sense? How does this even work?

FBI was overrun by Democrat mafia for 8 years, and they're still having tentacles there.

Was going to go out of state on vacation this year. Now my wife and I won't even go into the bigger cities for a day of shopping. There's several thousand dollars of tourism that those places won't see.

Guess I'll just spend it on home defense and security systems.

They wont see much more than your few thousand dollars. Target is closing two dozen stores in Minneapolis.
In Chicago, now they're begging retailers not to leave.

I think that defunding or abolishing police departments is a stupid idea.

A better one would be to hold police to the same accountability that we hold the military to. If you are kicked out of the military for disciplinary reasons, you are never allowed to be part of the military again. If an officer is fired for disciplinary reasons, the same should hold true, they can never work as a police officer ever again.

But, unfortunately, that is a pipe dream, because the police union (a powerful political force) won't let it happen.

The bigger problem are government employee unions. They're bargaining against people they're working for and paying their salaries, taxpayers, while negotiating with mediators (politicians) who suppose to work for taxpayers. It always ends up sour deal for us.

Based upon what Governors and Mayors of Blue Cities and States are proposing, if implemented would lead to the highest numbers of crime in all forms ever seen in the U.S.
We can presently see examples of this in places like Chicago and New York city. By the release of felons and murderers from prison.

Minneapolis has not had an elected Republican Mayor since 1957.

Instead of blaming Trump, blacks should ask Democrats why their administrations, and government unions, allowed cop with 18 prior complaints to still have a job.

But, of course... the same people that created the problem will offer and push for solutions to fix them, and the fix is more insane than problem itself.

You are hallucinating. If the police or military want to stop violence, there is only one way to do it. KILL!!!!!! SLAUGHTER!!!!! MUTILATE!!!! Years ago during the Iraq-Afghanistan wars, there was talk of requiring U.S. soldiers to read captured prisoners their Maranda rights. Maybe they even did so. Why not just have American soldiers surrender to the enemy and have done with it. Also, some years back they gave a navy seal a ton of shit for supposedly posing with the dead body of a dead enemy soldier. What he should have done was cut off his head and shit down his neck. Enemies only respect viciousness. Not kindness.

How offended would you be if I told you that you are mistaken. And just about as wrong as a person can be. Would you argue more? Or would you be big about it and accept that you are wrong. Let's see.

First of all, democracy is a joke. Pure filth in fact. Only when people are placed in office from the general public through a lottery can we achieve any sort of true democracy. And the wealthy would be excluded from that lottery. But for most of the severely brainwashed sheeple out there, they have been programmed to believe that only the wealthy have the intelligence to run things. The delusional fools.

Also, freedom is also a cruel joke. It is only a sucker word used to fool the gullible and appease the criminals. There is no way to give somebody the freedom to do anything without it infringing on the freedom of somebody else to not be exposed to their freedom.

As to your ideas, cutting things up into smaller bits won't fix anything. It is almost as foolish as thinking that privatization will cure ills. It will do just the opposite. Because when a private entity requires a profit, obviously whatever can't be done as cheaply. There is only one thing that was ever demonstrated to work well so far. That is why it had to be destroyed. It was National Socialism. And it was run by this guy.

Hitler 2.jpg

No better example of Democrat lunacy could ever be provided than this, (except maybe the loons in Minneapolis who are dismantling their police department alltogether, with businesses closing down and moving out).

And what does this say to the individual police officer who is risking his LIFE every time, every day, that he goes to work ? I can just hear them all saying "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea in the first place." If droves of cops quit in these Democrat cities that are engaging in this lunacy, it won't be unexpected.

Besides being understaffed (especially in riot situations), they are being shown that "their" city shows more allegiance to terrorist organizations like Black Lives Matter, than it does to them. How apt are they to now make arrests of black people (who commit most of the crime) than of other races ?

I guess the bigger question is, can Democrat run cities survive their collective stupidity?

Instead of purging police from bad cops (protected bu unions), and reforming police training as a rational response to Floyd's death, Minneapolis voted to disband the police altogether. When asked "what she is supposed to do if she faces a threat in her home and there is no police to call" Council woman Lisa Bender said: "Yes, I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors. And I know, and myself, too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege.”

In other words, the Minneapolis citizen’s concern is not legitimate and merely reflects her privileged assumption that she is entitled to protection by police. The valid concern is to protect blacks from the police by disbanding the police. So when Amnesty International says that “Police must stop killing black people.” My question is: Should they stop killing white people too?

I’m looking forward to seeing what the “community policing” ends up being and how long it takes until some street gang like MS13 takes over. In South Africa, community policing is ending up in "tire necklace", I guess that is coming to out major cities. Should we disband courts too?

Great news from Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Police Department announced on Monday that 24 officers quit the job, and 46 are taking early retirement. Before they left, they pretty much said: "You're on your own."

Isn't that how it usually work in leftist utopia? Qualified people are pushed out, and those who could not qualify for the job, will take their place. They'll get what they were looking for, low IQ cops, and more abusive force. Unless "community policing" doesn't replace cops completely.
