In posting the following brief essay I do not claim that it is The Absolute Truth. Rather, it is a number of debatable propositions, which I hope will be discussed in an intelligent and civil manner.

Diversity is not our strength. It is the ultimate reason for the polarization that makes it difficult for the government to deal with problems what would have solvable before 1964.
The United States survived the twin traumas of the Great Depression and the Second World War because 90% of the population was white, and most Negroes were effectively restricted to second class citizenship.
The tax revolt, which has been responsible for the fact that the national debt rose from 32% of the gross domestic product in 1980 to 129% in 2020,
U.S. National Debt by Year
was a draft riot against the War on Poverty. By the late 1970’s most whites did not want their taxes spent to help a Negro underclass that committed crimes against them.
President Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” was successful because the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the War on Poverty were followed by five years of black ghetto riots and more durable increases in black social pathology.
If the civil rights legislation and the War on Poverty had improved the behavior of most Negroes, a Democrat dove would have been elected president in 1968 who would have ended the War in Vietnam. Instead, the War continued for seven more terrible years. We still lost.
The Republican Party is the party of whites of all incomes. The disunity of the GOP by class is only a problem when Republican leaders get serious about cutting domestic spending programs that benefit Republicans who are not rich and increasing the number of H1B Visas and H2B Visas. This is what Elon Musk is doing.
The Democratic Party is an unwieldy coalition of demographics who dislike each other. Most Jews and Muslims dislike each other. Most Negroes and Hispanics dislike each other. The well educated, well paid bi coastal professionals who have dominated the Democrat Party since the War in Vietnam usually disdain white blue collar workers, and are resented by them in turn.
The only diversity that is beneficial is diversity of opinion. The partisans of DEI do what they can to suppress the writings of Charles Murray, Jared Taylor, and Professors Arthur Jensen, Richard Herrnstein, and J. Philippe Rushton.

I caught part of Hegseth's "pep talk" speech before a room full of Pentagon heads about the new positions and policies of the Pentagon going here on in. When it came time for Q & A, the first guy got up, came to the mic, and asked Pete what was our new stance toward China and Russia, would it be more proactive, more aggressive?
That is when the camera feed went dead.
They will find out soon enough.
