Defense Secretary Hegseth: "Our Diversity Is Not Our Strength,"

Truman integrated the troops. And the racists reacted the exact same way Trump and his followers do today.

"Those (fill in the blank) are making the military weaker!"

From a fat orange bone spur asshole who never spent a day on active duty.

Our diverse military kicked Hussein's ass. Twice. Without breaking a sweat.
change the subject since you were spectacularly wrong on your first statement. We have an all-volunteer force and have since the mid 70's, so it is made up of a lot of different groups but at least in the Marine Corps they are all taught one thing they are green and not some other color.

Whites made this nation diverse when they landed here.
right

because the tribes that came north from South America were the same as those that crossed the Bering Strait.

DEI so far has resulted in the below:

“If I have to carry your husband out of a fire, he got himself in the wrong place.”
Larson stated that people want firefighters who “look like them” responding to emergencies

Yet, the left is okay with this shit because Kristine Larson still has a job.
Had the above been said by a white, Christopher Larson, he would have been immediately fired, labeled a racist, applied to some type of phobia, socially and professionally canceled and made a talking point on "The View". Said by a lesbian - "Nothing to see here, everyone move along".

When you have Airlines that state, DEI is our priority, it immediately sends the signal that they don't want the best pilots flying their planes, or have the best trained Flight Attendants, mechanics, etc.,

Also, do we understand the the math behind DEI doesn't 'math'? The only way equity part works is if every demographic is equally represented based on their % of population. Yet, that's not how I see the equity part being described.

You can't have equal representation for every social demographic in every job market because eventually, you run out of the minorities and are left with only White people to fill the remaining available jobs.

Interpreted to mean white men only should be in the military.

Stop being absurd. This isn't about making sure our military is all white, which wouldn't be possible anyway.
It's about removing the barriers that prevent the best and most qualified people, regardless of their race, sex etc, from advancing or being our front line of defense.
When it comes to the military, I think most of us agree that we want pro-American warriors who are the best, the strongest, the most courageous and put our country first and who are willing to risk or give their lives in the act of defending all of us.

That's an example that I was just thinking of.

"Our Diversity Is Not Our Strength"

Nowhere in nature is diversity a strength.
Selecting employees by skin color and ethnicity quotas instead of merit is an obvious recipe for disaster.
And look what it has gotten us.
It is pure racism, reverse racism designed to put whites at a disadvantage so that others can compete.
Merit is color blind: if you are the best, the smartest, the most productive or most talented, what difference does your color, sex, race, or anything else mean?
Anyone who opposes this is at one simply admitting that they can't compete on a level playing field and NEED a biases system to get ahead.
  • Can you imagine building a bridge and using a DIVERSITY of bolts, some Grade 8, some Grade 5, and some Grade 2?
  • Can you imagine rebuilding a GM motor and using a DIVERSITY of parts, some for Chevy, some for Pontiac, and some for Buick?
  • Can you imagine assembling an Olympic track team not of your fastest runners, but based solely on race, sex, or month of birth?
Diversity is a LIE, invented by DEI thugs intended to achieve a quota of artificial racial balance in hiring irregardless of qualification, and when you don't need to compete for a job, that doesn't make you BETTER, it just makes these people even more LAX.

it really doesnt matter how diverse the unit looks, as long as they are a UNIT and will come together when they need to be...if that "diversity" upsets that...then they have a problem....

The above has happened however, long before "DEI" was a thing. If you are an organization that has a federal contract with the gov't, the federal gov't mandated that the racial diversity of your facility must be at or around the same percent of diversity of the surrounding area. Meaning if the diversity is the following: 75% caucasian, 20% Black, 5% Other, than your employee population should be in or around the same percentiles. The gov't does routine audits. Any percentile outside of the allowed variance must be explained. This means the employer must show that they have received, accepted and offered jobs to certain races. They then must show how those applicants did not work out and why they had to hire applicants that did not fit the racial diversity. It's a huge pain in the ass.

And guess what, I bet we can all guess which racial marker was the hardest to hire, onboard and retain if they applied, passed a background, drug, and driving check.

Of course. These things always begin with the best of intentions, the thinking here is that if you are being "fair," then your hiring ought to be a mirror of the community. But in reality, that is not how things really work. All people of all races do not equally apply for all jobs, so what you end up with is hiring people that aren't really your best applicants just because Uncle Sam is on your back.

Go to any federal office and you will usually see a preponderance of black people there, not the 15-18% reflected in society.

And guess what, I bet we can all guess which racial marker was the hardest to hire, onboard and retain if they applied, passed a background, drug, and driving check.
Blacks of course. Every study shows that AS A GROUP, they tend to SCORE LOWER in testing than others do. Not that there aren't bright people among them, just that they are fewer.

I watch a lot of engineering documentaries, bridge building, skyscraper construction, things like that, on PBS. And despite PBS's bent for DEI, if you watch these shows, wherever they are filmed around the world, in key management positions, engineering, architecture, even labor, you will see a lot of Europeans, Caucasians, Asians, Indians, Latinos, et al., but few blacks. Very few. You'll find very few blacks in key, STEM high pressure hard labor jobs where quality and deadlines are mandated, EXCEPT if they are federal government hires where traditionally, there is limited responsibility, few deadlines, and you generally can't even fire them.

Fact.

DEI was invented as a means of creating the illusion of racial equity in order to justify an unrealistic leftist dogma of false equality.

I want the best candidate hired solely based on merit and capability, but I do believe that diversity is good. Some of my best engineers I ever had were female and there’s not many female engineers percentage wise. But the handful I hired were and are some of the best engineers I ever had.

Hegseth.....that's Norwegian, right?

It's a tragedy in this country that we have a drunk, tv show host, bootlicker and moron, running the most powerful military in the world.

What if all three of Trump's meals are the same, with no variety? Would Trump still enjoy them, even if the foods make him strong?

Eating the same meals repeatedly may lead to monotony, even if the foods are nutritious. Enjoyment of meals often comes from variety in flavors, textures, and presentation. While a consistent diet can provide strength and health benefits, it might lack the excitement and satisfaction that come from diverse meals. In the long term, a varied diet is generally recommended for both physical and mental well-being. :)

👉 Analyzing the policy that "America's diversity is not America's strength" from the Pentagon perspective yields several considerations:

1. National Unity vs. Fragmentation: A focus on uniformity could promote national unity but may also lead to increased fragmentation and alienation among diverse groups, potentially destabilizing domestic social cohesion.

2. Military Cohesion: Emphasizing a singular identity might improve cohesion within the military but could undermine the benefits of diverse perspectives, which enhance problem-solving and adaptability in complex environments.

3. Recruitment and Retention: A policy that downplays diversity may deter potential recruits from various backgrounds, impacting the talent pool and the military's ability to reflect the population it serves.

4. Global Relations: Such a stance could affect America’s image abroad, weakening relationships with diverse nations and potentially diminishing soft power and diplomatic effectiveness.

5. Operational Effectiveness: Diverse teams have shown to be more innovative and effective in various operational scenarios. Rejecting this concept may limit strategic advantages.

6. Internal Challenges: This policy might exacerbate existing tensions within the military or among civilian populations, leading to increased challenges related to morale and mental health.

7. Policy Implications: Implementing such a policy could lead to significant changes in training, outreach, and community relations, necessitating a comprehensive strategy to address potential backlash.

Overall, adopting this policy could have profound implications on military effectiveness, recruitment, national unity, and international standing.

Hegseth could not be more wrong or shortsighted. But what can one expect from a Fox News flack?

America is a melting pot, and that is our greatest strength.

We mutts defeated the racist Nazis.

Those hiding in the bunker were so demoralized by the thought of non-Aryans running the world, they murdered their children and killed themselves.

Nativists have opposed every race, creed, and color immigrant since the 19th century. And they used the exact language Trump, and Steven Miller, and Hegseth used. "They bring crime. They're rapists. They bring drugs."

Trump invented no new rhetoric. TrumpCo is recycling old, old, tired, failed, racist, bullshit.
Wow, what a fucking baffoon you are.

A "melting pot," by definition, means it is better united. We are stronger and united. It cannot be credibly denied.

Diversity is separation, It is, "My culture" over "your culture". My way over the American way.

Fuck you.

It's a tragedy in this country that we have a drunk, tv show host, bootlicker and moron, running the most powerful military in the world.
Good thing we don't have that, isn't it.

Music to my ears!!
We get our strength in unity, not in our differences! The military has a singular purpose, to protect the CITIZENS of the United States. We don't need people in our military, whose primary mission is to check diversity boxes.
Death to DEI. Say it, DEATH TO DEI!!!

Defense Secretary Hegseth: "Our Diversity Is Not Our Strength," We Don't Have Time To Emphasize Differences

Right just kick out people who want to serve and invite people back in who refused to follow orders. That doesn't promote unity.
