The defense’s motion to exclude the license plate, filed last week, calls the evidence “not relevant” and “prejudicial.”

In their response to the motion, prosecutors argued that McMichael purchased the truck several weeks before the shooting and attached the vanity plate “for all the world to see -- the jury may interpret that evidence in any way they deem appropriate and the State may make reasonable inferences, in closing argument, drawn from the evidence,” prosecutors wrote."

On one hand, what is the big deal...there is nothing wrong with showing pride in your Southern Confederate heritage as long as it wasn't the evil Democrat side, with the slavery and stuff....it shouldn't matter what license plate the guy had on his truck at the time when he heroically took a stand against a black thug....Travis McMichael was outnumbered and he did what he had to do....

The defense is right, it shouldn't be relevant.... but at the same time, why should they want their client to feel he has to hide his pride in his Confederate heritage?? This is like asking a guy who is proud of his German heritage to feel bad about flying a Nazi flag just because of how it may trigger some fucking Jews or some soyboy cuck lib.
