Funny, I see the Republicans here the same way. The meetings are primarily old white guys. You may hate to admit it but there isn't a whole hell of a lot difference between the demographics between the two parties. Most young people identify as independents. Both parties no longer represent the majority of the population. But we end up having to vote for one or the other. If some bunch of rich dudes were to start spending money on independent candidates, the time is ripe for that.

The republicans were not the ones laughing at the idea of another group of Americans being so full of despair that they are killing themselves.

Younger people DO have too high a suicide rate. And the reason is, they believe that there is no hope. Neither the Left nor the Right is doing anything to show them the hope. Instead, we have people on both sides doing what you are doing and working on the fears. Keeping things and people seperated and fighting. Enough already. If that is the best you can do, please, just get it over with. The world will be a better place. The rest of us can try and make it a better place for people that wish to learn to love America and their Fellow Man.

Won't do them any good. The US will just saturate the defenses with enough garbage that the defenses will be worthless. And the SAs become legit targets and go poof. After that, the A-10s and AC-130s go to work along with all the other Gen 3 and 4 birds. The first strikes will be from the B-2, B-1 and F-22 on the Air Defense from hundreds and thousands of miles away. Well beyond their range.
