OP left out the rest of what Trump said. He doesn't want to waste time when there is nothing new in the briefing. He has someone on his staff hear the briefs. He also said he is available at a minutes notice if something new is reported. That sounds like a man capable of organizing his time and delegating.

Criticize Trump? Sure. Why not? But at least find something real to gripe about.
