That's easy to say until you realize that much of NY is rural and wants nothing to do with Coumo and his policies. We effectively have no power in our own state because it's too easy politically to cater to a few hundred square miles downstate and get elected. This is why I support an organization called Divide NY that proposes we remain one state with three more or less autonomous regions. The city, LI and the rest of us. Presumably the plan would also split electoral votes. State's like Michigan and Illinois should look at similar plans IMO

Beyond the blatant scumbaggery of putting the taxpayers on the hook to pay for his lawyers to help him attempt to crawl out of the vast hole he's dug for himself, What I find interesting is:

"The three-term Democrat is also holding a $10,000-a-head fundraiser later this month amid an ongoing impeachment probe by the state Assembly’s Judiciary Committee."

It'll be fascinating to see who shows up ready to hand over checks to support a miscreant that's facing impeachment and possible jail time for a laundry list of alleged transgressions. Should be a veritable "who's who" of crooks, scumbags and assorted riff-raff.
