Credit where credit is due.

Which is why the smart Canadians cross the border to here, shop at Costco, Kroger, Trader Joe's, etc. to get their milk and other goods that are too expensive or limited in Canada.
Like how smart Americans cross the border to get prescription drugs?

Are you saying that all the Billionaires, Millionaires, millions of investors, hedge funds and institutional funds all bought into the Democrats fake story, meaning that the 16,000-point move up in the DOW (stock market) was fake, and that those same people who have now sold the DOW down 4000 points continue to believe the fake story of the Democrats?

But you know the truth, right?
Actually, it is the leftoids who know the “twoof”, such as the “twoof” that men get pregnant and millions of years of mammalian biology has no defined history.

Trump has not placed a tariff on “basically any Canadian import”.

Stop being a fraud.
Initially it was a blanket tariff but he backed off on tariffs for 38% of Canadian imports. Hard time with his back and forth chaos.

These aren’t reciprocal tariffs. Trump placing a tariff on basically any Canadian import isn’t reciprocal.
Already given in post 33. Try paying attention. Huge trade surpluses that benefit Canada are, in large part, a function of inequitable tariffs.

From the link you supplied, “The exemptions to the 25% tariffs enacted Tuesday would apply to about half of goods coming into the United States from Mexico and around 38% of goods from Canada that comply with the North American trade deal reached during Trump’s first term, according to a senior administration official.”

Time to backtrack, quickly, on your “basically any Canadian import”, fraud.

Since there’s few tariffs on US goods, it’s really not due to tariffs.

It’s due in large part to the amount of oil and minerals we import from Canada.

I already did! Jesus. You just reiterated what I already said and admitted to.

It’s still not reciprocal since a 25% tariff on >60% of imported goods, way more than they tariff us.

trump's supporters have a lot of spunk coming to the board each and every day defending the indefensible. I'm not sure I could. I don't think there's ever been an admin affirmatively wrecking the economy based on a stupefying misunderstanding of how tariffs work. Don may have set back Repub politics for a generation.

Mad King Trump’s Tariff Disaster

Unless he is able to deflect blame on someone or something else. That's the narrative I'm watching for.
Even FOXNEWS has reported that Trump has absolutely tanked the economy.

They're trying to spin-it the best they can, but alas, there's only so much even they can do.

It's a disaster.

Appeals to Jesus won't help you. As you're now contradicting your earlier. "basically any Canadian import”, fraud, what other contradictions would you like to reverse on?

Trump supporters are cowards and dishonest; they attempt to defend the indefensible because they’re just as reprehensible and wrong as Trump.

you have no clue what the long term advantages of fairer trading practices for the US , cutting gov regs , waste , and abuse along with taxes and increased energy production will have for the economy and average Americans .. y'all are just crowing because the Stock Market has been down for a few days .. Trump has secured 1.7 trillion in private investments in just 50 days ! more is to come ! the left believes we should continue be taxed at higher rates by countries that we support and protect while we do nothing .. the left wants us to treat foreign countries better than they treat us .. typical weakness from weak people .. turn in your man card boy !
I have never said that what Trump is attempting to do is bad. We do have waste, fat, and greed/corruption in our government and needs to be addressed, Bided did NOT address it, so this is a good thing that WOULD work if done right.

The problem is what I have stated all along about Trump, he is incompetent and as such, what he is likely to do things in a way that makes things worse than better.

For example, he has already fired many people indiscriminately that were vital and not corrupt or greedy. Those people were doing their job well and simply because Trump was trying to cut costs, he is creating a situation where those needed departments are gone, meaning people will suffer unnecessarily and in the long run it will be more costly to fix something needed, than to leave something working well and only using a scalpel to take the bad out.

The way Trump is doing things (using a hacksaw), is the wrong way and the results will not be what you expect (and the way it should be). It will end up being WORSE and causing more corruption/greed and need as it will destroy what has been built correctly but has fat and waste that needs to be removed.

So it’s not about reciprocity, it’s about bullying.
Reciprocity is one of many items to be negotiated.

Are you really as stupid as you appear to be?

Or are you just saying any silly thing to be contrary and get attention/response?

Either way it is becoming clear you are a waste of time and effort to reply to.

How do tariffs work for Canada, China, and Germany?
Dems look the other way when other countries slam us with tariffs to keep us out of their markets...you know, so long as they are getting bribes and kickbacks they are happy to let them screw over American workers and businesses.

I guess so. Only America has to suffer open borders and tariffs.
