Credit where credit is due.

Well when did US have a recession last...

I think Donny Dum Dum was in charge...

US entered a Recession 5 times in the last 34 years... A GOP President was in charge every time...

That is some record, Donny Dum Dum is going for 6...
Progs destroy the currency more than Republicans. Greasing the wheels of the printing press of fiat currency and proud of it.

but true

Trump supporters never debate data, statistics and fact. They deflect, they attack the messenger and do not address the information with data, statistics and fact. How dan you say that they are not attempting the indefensible.
Why would anyone in this forum debate using biased data, statistics and facts?

If you cannot get agreement on this, what would be the purpose?

The information flow in this world today is 100% biased.

It's a waste of time when the left will just reject ANYTHING that is used that does not conform to their world view.

Right. Our economy is really held back because we can’t export more milk to Canada.
As pointless as your usual pointlessness.

U.S. Census Bureau data shows that in 2024, the U.S. spent $412,695,700,000 on imports from Canada, which affected goods such as steel, aluminum, and agricultural products. In the same year, the U.S. spent $349,359,900 on exports from Canada.

You’re trying to convince us that the US economy was suffering because of Canadian tariffs.

Did Canada actually have a lot of tariffs on our products?

During the Biden Administration, but the Democrats, with the help of their lapdogs, decided to redefine the definition to get them off the hook.

We are NOT in a recession now, but a recession is always a possibility, in any era, under any President.

Since when is data, statistics and facts biased? Right there is YOUR problem. You live in a fantasy world where reality does not exist.

Much like this world:

Where their leader told them that suicide meant they were going to a better world and 913 people believed Jones.

Is that reality or fantasy. Those people believed that data, statistics and facts were biased.

Are you prepared to commit suicide if Trump told you "it's the best way"?

trump's supporters have a lot of spunk coming to the board each and every day defending the indefensible. I'm not sure I could. I don't think there's ever been an admin affirmatively wrecking the economy based on a stupefying misunderstanding of how tariffs work. Don may have set back Repub politics for a generation.

Mad King Trump’s Tariff Disaster

Unless he is able to deflect blame on someone or something else. That's the narrative I'm watching for.
and yet this idiot was on USMB everyday along with his fellow leftwing idiots defending the open border , skyrocketing inflation ect .. for 4 yrs ..

The data isn't biased. It is the absolute assistance that the LEFTS interpretation of that data is what is biased. Unless YOUR version and interpretation is used, it isn't even considered; from Journalism to population.

That makes it an absolute waste of time to even talk about it.

And your example is an example I just provided. He gave them the interpretation of the data and they killed themselves believing it.

The left is very much like that.

The question..........the ONLY question is--------->since Trump has to do very invasive surgery on the economy because of what Biden and the far Left did..............will it bounce back and start recovering before next summer?

If it does, the Left is done for 3 cycles; if it doesn't, well Houston, Trump and friends have a problem.

Do NOT even pay attention to ANYTHING the Left is saying. They would tell you water is sand if it helped them politically. Look rather at NEXT MAY, that will be the telling moment(s).

Always remember--------->it took Reagan almost 20 months to come out the other end of the DISASTER he inherited from Carter. The GOP is facing the same thing again, only this time................they call it the Biden Administration, because Biden was NOT even the person at the reins.

If we actually want to at least temporarily bury the Democrats, this has got to be done as it is unfolding. Yes, it is a high risk-high reward position, but if Trump, Musk, and his cabinet pull it off...............it will be the end of the far Leftists for a generation, and the end of Democrats for 8 to 10 years. And to be honest.........nothing WE say, or THEY say, is going to change much of anything. It is going to be all about the economic numbers coming into spring, next year!
and [informed] Dems know this to be true .. that's why they are desperately hoping for economic disasters ..

Are you saying that all the Billionaires, Millionaires, millions of investors, hedge funds and institutional funds all bought into the Democrats fake story, meaning that the 16,000-point move up in the DOW (stock market) was fake, and that those same people who have now sold the DOW down 4000 points continue to believe the fake story of the Democrats?

But you know the truth, right?

You’re trying to convince us that the US economy was suffering because of Canadian tariffs.

You’re clueless and you’re arguing about matters you know nothing of.

In 2023, Canada had a trade surplus of $108.3 billion with the United States, but that surplus narrowed to $102.3 billion for the year 2024.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • 2023: Canada's trade surplus with the U.S. was $108.3 billion.

  • 2024: The Canadian trade surplus with the US was $102.3 billion for the year, narrowing from $108.3 billion in 2023.

  • Imports from the US: were down by 1.4% in 2024, from $484 billion in 2023 to $412.7 billion.

  • Exports to the US: were down by 1.4% in 2024, from $354.4 billion in 2023 to $349.4 billion

Right. Our economy is really held back because we can’t export more milk to Canada.
why are leftists against reciprocal tariffs ? are y'all ok with Countries placing high tariffs on our goods while we do nothing to TRY to dissuade them ? should the US just continue to be unfairly treated by our trading partners ?

None of this data talks about tariffs. It’s just discussing a trade deficit.

Biden told you “inflation is transitory” and those “ white supremacists” lurking in the shadows were your greatest danger, and like Lemmings, you jumped off the cliff.

Get a clue and discover the tariffs that Canada has on US steel, timber and dairy products. Rather than being lazy and clueless, you might want to get some facts on the issues you know nothing about.

Before January 1st, Canada had tariffs on certain U.S. products, primarily in sectors protected under its supply management system. These included:

  • Dairy Products: Tariffs ranged from 200% to 300% on items like milk, cheese, and butter to protect Canadian dairy farmers.
  • Poultry and Eggs: Similar high tariffs were applied to chicken, turkey, and eggs.
  • Grain Products: Some grains faced tariffs, though these were generally lower than those on dairy and poultry.
These tariffs were part of Canada's long-standing trade policies to support domestic industries.
