Credit where credit is due.

trump's supporters have a lot of spunk coming to the board each and every day defending the indefensible. I'm not sure I could. I don't think there's ever been an admin affirmatively wrecking the economy based on a stupefying misunderstanding of how tariffs work. Don may have set back Repub politics for a generation.

Mad King Trump’s Tariff Disaster

Unless he is able to deflect blame on someone or something else. That's the narrative I'm watching for.

Meanwhile the dems are still running on women having penises, Send all our money to Ukraine, and open up the borders.

and [informed] Dems know this to be true .. that's why they are desperately hoping for economic disasters ..
Hold on a second, you say that the Democrats are hoping for an economic disaster that will affect their lives and pocketbooks as much as anyone else, just to prove that they are right? That is pure bullshit.

What do you say if that does happen and they prove it. Won't that mean to you that Trump did fail and that his mouth was full of lies and garbage, given that he promised vehemently that he would fix everything?

Another day, another melt down by you. Gives us a whole lot of pleasure.

but true

Trump supporters never debate data, statistics and fact. They deflect, they attack the messenger and do not address the information with data, statistics and fact. How dan you say that they are not attempting the indefensible.

The messenger (without fail) shows up with untrue data. statistics, and fact.
In the real world, that is a problem for you.

Well when did US have a recession last...

I think Donny Dum Dum was in charge...

US entered a Recession 5 times in the last 34 years... A GOP President was in charge every time...

That is some record, Donny Dum Dum is going for 6...
Is Donny Dum Dum the slogan of the week in your 6th grade classroom?

Yet you defended brain-dead Biden who screwed US for 4 years.

Get a clue and discover the tariffs that Canada has on US steel, timber and dairy products. Rather than being lazy and clueless, you might want to get some facts on the issues you know nothing about.

Before January 1st, Canada had tariffs on certain U.S. products, primarily in sectors protected under its supply management system. These included:

  • Dairy Products: Tariffs ranged from 200% to 300% on items like milk, cheese, and butter to protect Canadian dairy farmers.
  • Poultry and Eggs: Similar high tariffs were applied to chicken, turkey, and eggs.
  • Grain Products: Some grains faced tariffs, though these were generally lower than those on dairy and poultry.
These tariffs were part of Canada's long-standing trade policies to support domestic industries.
Before Donald Trump took office, Canada had tariffs on certain U.S. products. Still, these were generally in line with World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). These tariffs were relatively low and applied to specific categories like agricultural products, dairy, and poultry, which are sectors protected under Canada's supply management system. For example, Canada imposed tariffs on U.S. dairy imports to protect its domestic dairy industry.

This is exactly what I thought. Canadian tariffs on the US were not significant.

The question..........the ONLY question is--------->since Trump has to do very invasive surgery on the economy because of what Biden and the far Left did..............will it bounce back and start recovering before next summer?

If it does, the Left is done for 3 cycles; if it doesn't, well Houston, Trump and friends have a problem.

Do NOT even pay attention to ANYTHING the Left is saying. They would tell you water is sand if it helped them politically. Look rather at NEXT MAY, that will be the telling moment(s).

Always remember--------->it took Reagan almost 20 months to come out the other end of the DISASTER he inherited from Carter. The GOP is facing the same thing again, only this time................they call it the Biden Administration, because Biden was NOT even the person at the reins.

If we actually want to at least temporarily bury the Democrats, this has got to be done as it is unfolding. Yes, it is a high risk-high reward position, but if Trump, Musk, and his cabinet pull it off...............it will be the end of the far Leftists for a generation, and the end of Democrats for 8 to 10 years. And to be honest.........nothing WE say, or THEY say, is going to change much of anything. It is going to be all about the economic numbers coming into spring, next year!

We might have to put a pause on future elections.

Canada had tariffs on various US products that were not reciprocal.

I understand you want to defend the US being treated unfairly and being taken advantage of because you’re weak and ineffective.

Canadian tariffs on the US were clearly significant.

you have no clue what the long term advantages of fairer trading practices for the US , cutting gov regs , waste , and abuse along with taxes and increased energy production will have for the economy and average Americans .. y'all are just crowing because the Stock Market has been down for a few days .. Trump has secured 1.7 trillion in private investments in just 50 days ! more is to come ! the left believes we should continue be taxed at higher rates by countries that we support and protect while we do nothing .. the left wants us to treat foreign countries better than they treat us .. typical weakness from weak people .. turn in your man card boy !

why are leftists against reciprocal tariffs ? are y'all ok with Countries placing high tariffs on our goods while we do nothing to TRY to dissuade them ? should the US just continue to be unfairly treated by our trading partners ?

Because Obama convinced them that inside, they should hate the USA.

Explain what makes it “clear” that Canadian tariffs were significant.

These aren’t reciprocal tariffs. Trump placing a tariff on basically any Canadian import isn’t reciprocal.

and to put an end to those tariffs all Can'tada has to do is treat American producers more fairly and strengthen security on their side of the border .. and guess what ... they will .. so go ahead and enjoy your few weeks of we told you so bullshit while it lasts ... other countries will have the new tariffs on them lifted once they do the same ...a few weeks of uncertainty until the countries that have been treating US producers unfairly for yrs get in line and straiten up ! so enjoy your emotional freak out and joy while y'all can moron .. remember the US is the largest consumer on the planet ! and its about time we are treated fairly ... and we will be ... MAGA !

Right. Our economy is really held back because we can’t export more milk to Canada.
Which is why the smart Canadians cross the border to here, shop at Costco, Kroger, Trader Joe's, etc. to get their milk and other goods that are too expensive or limited in Canada.

So you lied about reciprocal tariffs.

Is it really worth all this chaos and fighting just to get lower tariffs on milk and eggs? These don’t seem like very significant issues.
