All 50 states reported more COVID-19 cases in the most recent 7-day period than in the week before, a USA TODAY analysis of Johns Hopkins University data showed.
The data marks a concerning trend for public health officials as the country enters its fourth wave of cases, with a nearly 70% spike overall in the average number of daily cases this past week compared to the week prior, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
While the number of cases is increasing, the most concerning outbreaks continue to occur in areas with low vaccination rates, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC director, said at a news conference Friday.
"This is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated," Walensky added. The average number of hospitalizations and deaths has also increased in the past seven days, rising roughly 36% and 26%, respectively, per the CDC.
Jeff Zients, the White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator, said four states accounted for more than 40% of all new COVID-19 cases in the U.S. last week, with 1 in 5 cases occurring Florida. Zients didn't name the other three, but CDC data shows Arkansas, Missouri, Florida and Louisiana with the highest case rates per 100,000 people – each averaging over 150 in the past seven days.

Amazing what you think is real and what is conspiracy. One thing is obvious you believe the establishment, yet it has a long history of lying. You think all the vaccines are safe and wonderful. I think ALL doctors and experts think the vax is great. You think Covid is very dangerous and has killed 600,000 Americans.

I like my chances of a. not getting the COVIDS but b. if I do, chances excellent I'll have mild symptoms and won't end up in the hospital.

What's crazy is not developing effective treatments that save lives immediately after contacting the virus or once begin to show signs.

The stopping or lying about certain treatment's, otherwise basically saying that they were unsafe after years of being in circulation, and this just because the Trump organization was trying to help, and to give hope by listening to the medical field that was in support of these specific treatments in my mind was a Democrat political thing that may have cost lives also.

Hydroxychloroquine comes to mine right now, and there was the drug (I forget the name), that was administered to Trump in which he wanted every citizen to also gain access too. Yes vaccinate if think one needs too, but active treatments should also be the top priority in all of this as well.

Hopefully we have all learned something about this stuff, and this once the political walls are finally gotten through.

Most folks who contracted it survived and the the vaccinations were maybe helpful. That's about it. We The People want to move on and do what we do best....Work hard, contribute to the Nation and the economy, and live our lives free of government mandates as much as possible.
