We first mentioned the decanoyl moiety as it is attached to the furin-like sequence in post #2,039 of this thread: decanoyl-RVKR chlormethylketone.

If Prionailurus has this sequence, it could very well be a clue as to why no RNA viruses were found in the particular Amur Leopard cat, Prionailurus (post #2,057) because DEC-RVKR chlormethylketone inhibits furin cleavage, which would afford viral pathogens increased host access.
