Actually they do stop immediately.

Anyone collecting a tariff, is committing a federal felony.

So they can collect it at their peril.

the conservative majority supreme court will rule on this quickly and they may even put a pause on the leftist courts ruling until the SC rules in favor of the the voters who voted for the Trump admin .. all the left is doing is providing encouragement to countries that want to keep practicing unfair trade with the US ..treason !

That's declaring an action unconstitutional.
No different than when the district court killed the line item veto.

Actually, I was against the tariffs, if anyone here cared to remember. But they began bearing fruit, since countries came running to negotiate.

What I'm against is these courts thinking they have the authority to do what they're doing.

...And there is your mistake. the courts are not 'thinking they have the authority', they HAVE said authority.
Especially in this case and with this court.
This is specifically what this court was formed to do...it has the authority.
Trump's shotgun approach..his arbitrary meanderings--are what undid him.
His lawyers simply could not explain why areas of the planet with no humans had tariffs imposed on them--countries with no trade with the US..being sanctioned.
One more time..Trump cannot do whatever he wants to without oversight---He may think so..YOU may think so--but he cannot~

What is a national emergency? Do these acts define national emergency? We've had these trade deficits the past 30 or 40 years, so that's nothing new?

This is a pretty damn serious thing.... You are talking about breaking every single trade agreement the Senate has ratified and presidents have signed with the foreign nation's govt and leaders signing....this is breaking more than a handshake, for goodness sake....all businesses worldwide and in our nation, can run their business by having the stability of these signed and ratified trade agreements. Without them, is chaos...business busting!

To arbitrarily claim this is some kind of National Trade emergency that is so big and so urgent that the president can use this emergency power to make every single ratified trade agreement NULL AND VOID, because of a simple trade deficit, IS NOT AN URGENT NATIONAL EMERGENCY.... imo.
