That's is partially correct. We don't worry about the parts of Jewish Law that we cannot apply anymore. Everything that requires the Temple is suspended.
Suspended? What a crock.

Anything temple-related is dead.

But you want to be selective about Torah, too? That's your prerogative, I suppose. Have fun with it.

What you think you know about Jewish law would fit on the head of a pin, with room to spare.

Yes, suspended. Halacha is G-d given. We cannot invalidate it. We are just bound only to the Laws we can actually observe. Should the Temple be rebuilt, those Laws would be in effect.

Are murderers and rapists bound only to laws they observe, too?

Have a good look at civil law statutes. There are tons of laws in there that can no longer be enforced. Most because what they try to regulate is no longer the norm. Tons of laws on how those new fangled horse-carriages should share the road with horse and buggy. But should the horse and buggy come back, those laws would be enforceable.

I no longer have a Temple to bring the thrice daily sacrifice to. In its absence, thrice daily prayer will do until a Temple is rebuilt.

Our discussion has not been about Talmud. Only Torah.
But what you consider 'Torah" isn't what Jews do.
But okay, let's incorporate Talmud into it, if you insist.
Not I, but Judaism.
Torah says owning slaves legal. Talmud says it isn't, so you say.
I never said that the Talmud says it is illegal.
Hmm. A contradiction. No problem, though, right? Because we'll just ignore Torah and follow Talmud.
If you can't properly restate what I say, I doubt you will have luck understanding Judaism and its texts.

This discussion is certainly getting interesting. Have I stated anything in this new discussion and poll that offends you?

If so then perhaps what I wrote could get you started on what could become a somewhat new "mission" in this life?

"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them" is a famous verse from Psalm 119:165 in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, meaning those who deeply love God's teachings find profound inner calm and security, so they aren't easily upset or tripped up by worldly troubles, temptations, or people's offenses. It speaks to a spiritual resilience and stability that comes from grounding one's life in God's word, allowing them to rise above negativity and maintain peace.

I try not to get offended by online posts. Some represent a position different from mine, and some endorse ideas which are alien to my life. But I'd rather explain and teach about what's right.

That is an excellent approach indeed. I find that even this English language is so easily misunderstood and taken in a way that the writer probably did not intend, [or perhaps they were attempting to be funny, which is a characteristic that we can all learn from]?

I am of the firm belief that the prediction of the wealth of nations plural flowing to Jerusalem is being set in motion, [but I have to admit that if I was living in Israel I might be a bit intimidated by world events at this time]!

"Wealth of nations flow to Jerusalem" is a recurring prophetic theme in the Bible, primarily in Isaiah 60, Isaiah 66, and Zechariah, showing a future vision of global prosperity and peoples flocking to Jerusalem (Zion) for spiritual fulfillment, material riches, and God's presence, symbolizing the nations' recognition of God's sovereignty and the coming of the Messiah's peaceful, abundant kingdom. It signifies a reversal of past subjugation, where nations bring their treasures and people worship God in a restored, glorious city.

I dont know if that is true but its only 1/64 and i dont know of it at all

I will vote i dont know but i would like to think so the would like to think is in bold because i like the idea

Although I have never had the genetic test I would like to think that there is some truth to the idea that the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel were not fully lost but instead a rather small percentage of people within each tribe preserved their identity.

Apparently a lot of influential people in Scotland preserved links to some of the Lost Tribes of Israel and used that idea to convince the monarchy and aristocracy of Scotland to take in the Jews of England when England expelled them.

If some from the lost tribes of Israel may actually have made it all the way to Japan then that possibility should make all of us think about this topic further.

Israelites Came To Ancient Japan

Many of the traditional ceremonies in Japan seem to indicate that the Lost Tribes of Israel came to ancient Japan.

In Nagano prefecture, Japan, there is a large Shinto shrine named "Suwa-Taisha" (Shinto is the national traditional religion peculiar to Japan.)

At Suwa-Taisha, the traditional festival called "Ontohsai" is held on April 15 every year (When the Japanese used the lunar calendar it was March-April). This festival illustrates the story of Isaac in chapter 22 of Genesis in the Bible - when Abraham was about to sacrifice his own son, Isaac. The "Ontohsai" festival, held since ancient days, is judged to be the most important festival of "Suwa-Taisha."

what you are talking about is purely fictitious - the jews do not know or have not designated who their first mother of judaism is so there is no basis for who is or is not a jew ...

just like their 10 commandments - it's all madeup.

So by this comment can I assume that you do not like the Chassidic Jewish view of the world and the afterlife?

I am guessing that the question has not crossed your mind if Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper might be King Rehoboam, the eldest son of King Solomon, back with us again?

Justin Trudeau..... you guessed it... King Absolom back with us again!

THE STAGE IS BEING SET UP FOR EVENTS IN THE USA AND CANADA TO BE SIMILAR TO WHAT HAPPENED IN ANCIENT SAMARIA - ISRAEL!

At the Worldwide Church of God Festival of Tabernacles in either 1979 or 1980, a pastor gave a sermon on how perhaps The Prophet Elijah could have altered the future of the Northern Kingdom of Israel -Samaria, if Elijah HAD NOT RAN AWAY FROM Queen Jezebel and her armies?

The Pastor was speculating, but I believe that he was correct and perhaps the reason why the G-d of Abraham spoke to him in a "still small voice" may have had something do with our Creator having a "lump in His throat" as he dealt with the implications of the error that the Prophet Elijah had made?

It is rather surprising to us that our Creator could somehow be "afflicted" along with us humans in our troubles and trials of life.

Isaiah 63:9
"In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. "

Wow!!!!

I would love to take some courses by Rabbi Alon Anava but for the moment I should take several of his online courses.

I have studied plenty though far less since I am overwhelmed with life at the moment.

Now I casually listen to Rabbis, follow the 613 Mitzvot (where pertinent) and read the Talmud for insight. One has to be completely free from other concerns to really study or it will dissipate rather quickly. Capture the spirit and core tenets of Judaism, follow the Noahide path is better than delving deep into the weeds and absorbing little.

facts speak for themselves for the honest that have the courage to hear and read.

they are a deliberate distortion and beneficiaries by its conclusion of the first century events - the repudiation of judaism - false commandments, hereditary idolatry, religion of apartheid, false heavenly personifications that never occurred et al. what jesus knew and comunicated in certainty.

do you deny they, the jews and christians (romans) did not murder jesus for their truthful, heavenly threat to their mutually corrupt manifestations.

I believe that an influential segment of the Scribes and Pharisees wanted Messiah Yeshua - Jesus dead for essentially the same reason as three thousand Jewish soldiers tied up the DAnite Judge Samson and handed him over to the Philistines?

Jewish "theological leaders" during the time of the Danite Judge Samson had to do some sort of Wrap Up Smear on Samson in order to justify their betrayal of him.

A couple of centuries later many leading Jews followed King Absolom in his revolt against his father King David. The reasons for such actions are usually similar. If somebody comes along who is nearly impossible to compete with........ kill him..... or at least do an effective Wrap Up Smear on him.

the 1st century events are a repudiation of what has become the three desert religions using the same false commandments et al during that time contrary to the original simple heavenly religion, goal granted a&e their own self determination to accomplish the triumph over good vs evil to acquire judgement if completed for admission to the everlasting.

reading any of those bibles is to be overwhelmed by forgeries lies and fallacies found on nearly every page - no thanks for that.

On the other hand if you take the opportunity to listen to the near death experience account of former Atheist Rabbi Alon Anava you will notice many common elements to Matthew chapter four. His teachings since his 2001 seven minute brush with death correspond amazingly well with Matthew chapters five, six and seven, [The Sermon on the Mount].
