But this is a country of free speech. And again the first point is are all of these people who complain about professors, criticizing pro Israel people…. Are they Also criticizing the fact that innocent Palestinians have been killed by the IDF? This is not only a double standard. It is sheer and utter lunacy. It is a sign of mania.

Because after all the original post is making an allegation that someone is anti-Semitic. Would you look at the culture of the USA? It is actually still somewhat popular to make fun of Christianity. There’s entire movies, literature, and comedy dedicated to making fun of Christmas, making fun of Jesus.

Now obviously in the discourse, things are treated a bit differently when people are criticizing, black culture or something like that. Like for example, a white comedian making jokes about blacks probably not gonna fly today so much. Compared to vice versa. Although there has been some recent pushback against that sort of cancel culture and double standard.

Now let’s look at when people criticize Whites in general. Ie the popular idea whites are privileged including homeless whites …For the past few years it has been pretty popular on the left wing. And although again, there’s been some pushback against it, which is good.

Now let’s look at when people criticize Jews in general. Like when it’s done by movie star or a media person. Usually they get fired. Now even if they are black like Kanye West they get canceled. This is really remarkable because if Kanye West was saying what he is saying about Jews, but instead saying it about Whites… he would not have been canceled.

So yes Jews In general are among the least most criticized groups in America. They are among the most protected groups when it comes to the media when it comes to Hollywood. And yes, this can be said while understanding that Jews do not control the media, there is not some conspiracy of Jews to dominate the world. These are simply the facts.

It’s a fact Kanye west lost a huge amount of money for criticizing Jews in general. He would not have faced the same ordeal if he said that about whites in general. So

Really glad to see the diversity of thought on today’s right wing. I think there’s more diversity on the right compared to the left. Like when it comes to the situation about Israel. The most well-known and perhaps intellectual stars of the right wing like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens are not in agreement with the extreme pro Israel right…

Compare that to the left-wing and BLM. There’s not many left wingers who are going to do the right thing and criticize the racist ideology of BLM. Some recently have and there’s been some pushback against cancel culture, which is good but there’s still a long way to go there.

Of course both Candace and Tucker Are not even anti-Israel. They are not against Jews…. they are for things like America first which might include suspending foreign aid to various countries ….they criticize when the IDF attacks innocent Arab Christians or Muslims. Also Jews in Israel are against war crimes.

The extreme pro-Israel group lies all the time about the positions of various people on the topic. It truly is a sad thing. It’s a sad thing for the history of Israel. My post was a response to gipper’s question that suggests that calling Israel an aparteid state is not antisemitic. Strictly speaking, he is correct on that point.
However, what he and many others overlook is that criticism of Israel has sparked and fueled antisemitism on college campuses and towns and cities across the country.

The line of distinction between the actions of the Israeli state and Jewish people around the world has become hopelessly blurred to the point of being invisible. I can’t help but think that this is exactly what many want.

Thank you. There is a large contingent - the majority - who are either being driven by antisemitism to side against Israel, or who are using anti-Israel lies (like “genocide”) to drive more antisemitism, which is most obvious among the young and gullible in colleges.

People who use the most outrageous lies about Israel are trying to cover their antisemitism by claiming, “criticizing Israel has nothing to do with being against Jews.”

Why then, I’ve asked, are the anti-Israel contingent on campus - influenced by the Arab money that has flowed in - harassing Jews, assaulting Jews, spitting on them? Blocking them from attending class?! I thought this had nothing to do with Jews.

We are now at the point of enabling - or outright INVITING - “anti-Israel” speakers (the one in discussion advocates violence against Jews) that clearly has caused an outbreak of antisemitism not seen since Hitler’s run-up to the concentration camps. That liberals are FIGHTING to allow this to continue tells me that antisemitism is now being normalized in America, and the next generation of leaders are being groomed against Jews.
