I'm sure if the same effort was put toward investigating Joe Biden, he could be convicted of many things.

It's not about Trump being flawless or innocent. It's about a system where if you have a myriad of laws present, people can be charged with any number of things. People in positions of power usually got there by bending or breaking rules. Whether they get charged or convicted often depends on who they piss off or how poorly they cover their tracks.
